I was about to mention Ceave Gaming, but you did so yourself. Well done.

>Why is it that Sonic autism produces abominations, but Mario autism produces legitimately fascinating and creative looks into video game programming? Because you don't know what you're talking about and can only speak in memes. youtube.com/watch?v=SPjAYQsLN0I&t=0s
Gabriel Scott
Mario has its own autism, it's just that people don't think about it since it's not trendy to point out.
Sonic has genuine autism with oc creation and furries being the main focus. The games don't need effort to sell because the fanbase will eat up anything regardless of quality. Nintendo has to make Mario games interesting because there's no mental illness that obsesses over a fat, midget in overalls that jumps on things.
Julian Sullivan
Sonic was designed to be marketable and appealing as a character. Mario was never about Mario himself but the level progression and gameplay. Ergo, you have sonic autists obsessing over the characters and mario autists deconstructing the gameplay.
Jonathan Lewis
People point that out plenty, but the good type of autism is what tends to bubble up to the surface, such as the examples in OP
Jayden Bell
Sonic was never good and the core gameplay itself is flawed. You need to be a shit eating furry to like this ip.
Brayden Bailey
3D Sonic doesn't have an advanced enough physics engine to do what Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine can. The level design and stage elements also play big roles. Levels in 3D Sonic titles are generally very wide, with a scarcity of hazards / enemies, and are meant for going through at full speed whereas Mario games the player can engage in several speeds and still be engaged.
High speed causes mechanical limitations. The fast you move the less wiggle room you can make without crashing. Extremely short minute adjustments become the reality of speed.
>Pannen is so bored of A button challenge now he's doing nostick challenges
Austin Martinez
furries > nintenbabies at this point
Blake Diaz
>People point that out plenty, but the good type of autism is what tends to bubble up to the surface haha...
Seriously though, both groups have bad autismos. It's just in Sonic's case, the good autismos tend to stick together and make stuff of their own when Sega is fumbling. Thus you get the SAGE events where people make their own Sonic themed games/hacks. Where'd you think Mania came from?
Angel Perez
Mario has never been fat. How did this meme even take hold?
Nathan Walker
Nigga there's at least two Sonic fangame conventions every year and there's an entire community that's built around dissecting the original Genesis games for ROM hacks and shit, "video game programming" wise it beats Mario at every category
>but Mario autism produces legitimately fascinating and creative looks into video game programming? Mario autism is just as bad, Sonic just gets more shit because he is associated with furfags.
Colton James
t. Furry
Zachary Price
>No A challenge >No B challenge >No joystick challenge >2031, Pannen introduces the no-inputs challenge, where it programs the TAS to cause precise movements in the cartirdge to manipulate the game without ever needing a controller input
Noah Bailey
I can unironically see him doing a challenge where he manipulates the demo so Mario's inputs can be replicated in any level, allowing him to earn stars without pressing a single button.
Jonathan Cook
Both franchises have a lot of both gameplay and character/lore austism if you search for it.
I think Mario is more associated with the former because the games are more popular and respected, and all of them are basically considered good. Sonic is popular, but less so than Mario, the series as a whole has gotten a bad reputation, and most focus is put on only the early 2D games. So it's more likely for a particularly good video over programming in Mario 64 or whatever to get popular with the masses than a video related to a Sonic game.
And I think Sonic is more associated with the latter kind of autism because of the association with furries, and the sheer number of dumb kids and adult autists who make a tons of shitty OC characters, which happens because Sonic's style is easy to draw, and the way every character is a cartoon animal with a similar body shape and usually a "[word] the [animal]" name makes OCs easy to make.

Cooper Stewart
It's a solid, and complete, effort. I know I liked it, but others will disagree, since it has its fair share of jank and weird glitches. The soundtrack is top notch though, I'm not sure how Lake gathered all these guys to do this, but I must say his taste is great. youtube.com/watch?v=QuqsjEZIcXk

>Nintendo has to make Mario games interesting no they don't.
Mario has always been comedically fat like Homer Simpson
Noah Perez
haha
Grayson Moore
It's not about autism vs. normalfaggotry, it's about the emotions that they evoke.
Pannen inspires awe, while Sonic OCs elicits revulsion and schadenfreude.
Jaxon Reed
>Posting Kermit RENT FREE.
Carson Thompson
How do you sleep without showering? It feels so uncomfortable.
Joseph Diaz
cope. as bad as sonic fans are, at least they're not the fanbase known for shitting their pants at tournaments and bringing roach-filled crt screens to the venues.
Jaxon Jones
The same way you do while dreaming about a Smash free Evo.
Gabriel Rivera
we're halfway there. now take a shower, you stink.
Jordan Richardson
What's the controller defect he's referring to?
Joseph Reyes
See you in ten years. I know my spot will be there in your brain~
>Smash free Evo. I just want melee gone. I'm tired of seeing idiots with the mindset of a bethesda-drone that think "It's really buggy so that means it's good!"
Gabriel Flores
Yoshi fanbase?
Logan Flores
No he isn't. He's never been fat. You can look at any of his art or renders over the years and he's never had a belly. He's fairly lean, all things considered, but Luigi is leaner.
Lucas Bell
because sonic fans are so infuriatingly obnoxious one named a fucking human gene as sonic hedgehog
Gavin Davis
Trust, I'm not bothered by Melee not being in. I haven't kept up with Smash for years and I'm more likely to catch tournies for other fighters. It's just that anti-Smash kids are so butt blasted and obsessive about it that they become a parody of themselves. They'll believe anything as long as it makes Smash look bad, praise Avatarfags even when they've been proven to be wrong, and generally act like whiny kids because someone out there is playing a game they don't like.
Adam Peterson
>The name was devised by Robert Riddle, who was a postdoctoral fellow at the Tabin Lab, after he saw a Sonic comic book his daughter owned. Doesn’t sound like he was much of a fan user
>generally act like whiny kids because someone out there is playing a game they don't like. you mean like when meleefags booed guilty gear for not being melee?
Cameron Robinson
>literally seething over a fucking gene But WE'RE the autists apparently
Ethan Jones
You got a link? If not then find something else, I'm not heeding rumors.
Jeremiah Brown
I remember something like a robotnik chemical or something that kills the sonic hedgehog gene is that still a thing
Go fuck yourself, NSMB2 was the uninteresting one. I bet my bottom dollar if that game didn't exist, people would've given NSMBU a fair outlook.
Sebastian Perry
There was this retarded kid in school when I was young, everywhere he went he sprinted and would make car noises like braking when he had to slow down, idling and all that. All through senior year of high school.
That's the kind of people who like to go fast.
Adam Butler
By that logic classic Mario games are the same.
Jose Davis
a kid in my middle school did this too
Leo Perez
Thanks for that. That's bad indeed.
Angel Carter
Oh look, it's another one of Kermit's epic meltdowns. I read about this on /r/Yea Forums!
David Bell
i actually just wanted to point out there's a gene called sonic hedgehog, but i am somehow unable to be not toxic about it even though i am not even mad at all.
But Mario is the focal point of much larger general events and gets an absurd amount of ROM hacks. >Mania It's true that Sega did hire a bunch of community members to make their own Sonic game, but Nintendo also made Mario Maker, an official level designer, which was and still is very popular relative to the Wii U, though
Sebastian Cook
very obviously fake
Landon Morris
>Sonic autism produces abominations TGT and Sonic Mania are glorious. You shut your whore mouth.
Lucas Torres
Some controllers have weird/unique quirks to them that allow for easier tech. This isn't a problem anymore since UCF (universal controller fix) made it so that all controllers can pull off the hardest tech more consistently.
