I am never going through ENB hell again. Most I'm gonna do with ES6 is Reshade.

all the enb I tried made it too dark to even play when it was night or dungeons. nice screenshots, though.

I haven't played since Special Edition released. Should I play that or the original still? I'm not too crazy with mods, I only need SkyUI and maybe some texture mods. Will those work with the new edition?

Yeah, you might as well just play SE since you're not loading up on mods.

SSE just updated, LL mods aren't updated yet and probably won't be for a few days. But in my experience as long as you don't update every time Bethesda shits out a CC patch and breaks everything it's much more stable.

yeah, SKSE64 has been out for a while now. most Oldrim mods are easily ported to SE.
