Reach was the best Halo; I wish they'd iterate on FF XV's combat instead of doing something completely different again like they're almost certainly going to; it was close to being good, and felt amazing at points, imo. Very very flawed game, but with heart.

Like I said, I got a soft spot for it. It gets really bad towards the end by chapter 3-6 cruising around and having a fantasy adventure with a more relatable setting and characters was just so aesthetically pleasing to me. I’m a sucker for open worlds with great aesthetics. I know there’s people who will defend XV to the death, and I’m not willing to go that far, but I will say I enjoyed it.
It probably also helped that I’m not much of an FF fan in general, I’ve played and liked 6 and 9. Never touched any others. I didn’t know about XV until like 3 years until release, so I didn’t share the same waiting woes as others.
