I thought Ubisoft said The Division 2 sales were well above the original game

I thought Ubisoft said The Division 2 sales were well above the original game.
They even implied that removing the game from Steam and making it Epic exclusive was a major factor for such increase in sales.
Was all bullshit? Was ubisoft paid by Epic to push favorable marketing to Epic by giving the false idea that you should migrate to Epic Store cause Steam is worst?

Ohhhh, I get it. This is physical sales. I'm sure digital sales are much better. I'm sure digital sales surpass what the first game sold...
I mean, digital sales are always above physical ones and considering how The Division is such a pooooopular franchise, I'm sure it sold like korean virgins in a human traffic auction house.
I mean, Ubisoft would never feed us bullshit. Ubisoft would never whore themeselves for Epic just to push favorable, bias coverage.

I don't care.

>physical
all sales moved to epic store, bro

This. I bought it digitally and so did everyone else I know. It’s 2019 and you’re still buying discs?

Ubi's wording was The Division's sales were 6 times higher *on Uplay*. When your game isn't on Steam and the only alternative is Chinese spyware, no shit that it's going to sell more on Uplay.

Not that I'm saying digital sold well, I don't know, but holy shit dude if you buy it physical you still have a 40gb patch waiting for you. Just preload that shit digitally.

Epic chink shills have been spouting lies for months now.

most sales are digital
Division 1 released on Tuesday and had 6 days for it's launch week while 2 had 3 days to get 20% shy on physical sales.

It's in the article you posted are you really that much of a dense retard?

keep crying steam baby.

Oh no no n-
>Physical sales on a looter shooter where most place on PC
>Physical sales for PC games in general
Nevermind.

Who the fuck buys physical pc games???

I don´t care one way or another about steam or epic but I don´t buy that "physical are less then 5% of the actual sales" meme
techspot.com/news/75220-most-console-players-prefer-buying-physical-games-over.html
>The news comes from the latest edition of Nielsen’s annual US Games 360 Report, which reveals that 66 percent of surveyed console players would rather buy the physical version of a game.

just give me overall sales did it sale better or worse than D1? obviously physical sales will be lower overtime you fucking imbecile

>console players

were the fast majority of division 1 players
vgchartz.com/article/263697/tom-clancys-the-division-sells-an-estimated-35m-units-first-week-at-retail/

I’m so sick of Steam babies, you’re unironically worse than console fanboys.

At least consoles have their own first party exclusives, unlike Steam/Epic/GOG, you’re a fanboy for a fucking store lmao.

Why do you even like Steam? At least the Epic store isn’t filled with asset flip shovelware garbage, you can’t even find good games on Steam anymore.

cared enough to reply

I almost didn’t buy it because it wasn’t on steam but after that lefty article coming out saying the whole game is “NRA propaganda” I jut bought it an hour ago and about to play now actually

>Bought the game on uPlay and bought a second copy as a gift for a friend.
>Game feels great and is fun to play.
>we still play other games on Steam

I honestly don't get what the issue is here. I don't like Epic, so I play on uPlay.

also it's a sequel, no wonder it has more preorders, I'm sure SOME people liked D1
It's just that might be almost all of your userbase

that article has nothing to do with pc
also ubi games sell most on ps4

>also ubi games sell most on ps4
I am not surprised

It was a brilliant move by them to gain traction for uplay.

it's not gaining traction for uplay, people who bought it on steam had to use uplay anywa
it's a calculated risk of foregoing some potential new customers in favor of the full cut on the returning playerbase

The first game was bad, and the franchise is in a genre that has fallen well out of favor with consumers (it's debatable whether or not it was ever in favor with consumers). What a big fucking surprise, it doesn't sell well.

>As always, UK numbers do not include digital sales

Then why even report on them? Do they not know what century it is?

fucking dead, serves them right for siding with epic

>They even implied that removing the game from Steam and making it Epic exclusive was a major factor for such increase in sales.
Learn to read between the lines.
What they meant by this is that they have a sharp increase of sales on Uplay.
Guess what, almost nobody bought the first game there, so 5 times almost nothing is how much?
Classic PR damage control speak to calm investors.

> physical copies

>and the only alternative is Chinese spyware

only idiots bought it on epic. Just buy it directly from uPlay.

To be fair the division 1 was extremely hyped up and most people know it was shit so they're not keen on trying again

this
Buying on Epic Tengames gives the developers 12% worse cut than buying on Uplay
How can you live with yourself

>20% less sales
>30% more cut of the sale

Sounds like a win to me.

it's 80% less sales nigger
and it's physical so you're a double nigger

>physical
I wouldn't be surprised if physical sales in general are down 80% since 2016

Attached: 12312903182.jpg (1838x2048, 157K)

There is a trend overall. But an online game is going to be played mostly by people with good internet, and the game also gave you 3 day early access if you bought digital.

Attached: digital-vs-physical-game-sales-npd.jpg (1022x699, 102K)

>DLC included
This chart means nothing when majority of DLC can't even be bought physically

Is this a joke? The image straight up say it also counts the digital dlc, subscription and other content that aren't the game itself.
Show me a comparison that only shows units sold and not that bullshit, highly bias comparison.

>digital sales are above because it also counts and subs and dlc
Wow, what a shocker. To think downloadable content, expansions and subs that can ONLY be bought digitally is in higher demand in its digital form.

niggas he said it's a TREND
this chart compares TOTAL sales, including GAMES that are digital only, not box vs digital of fucking skyrim

>the whole game is “NRA propaganda”
Lol what?

Some marketing trailer positioned the survivors as gun-toting preppers and now it's pissing lefties

bias and impossible to compare.
show me a list of units sold (only the game, no side dlc or subscriptions added).
Sold me how many units of the division 2 sold, the game alone, digital vs physical.
The Division 2 or any other game.

>the trend
If there is a trend, then that image isn't suitable or should be used as evidence for such. You want to show me evidence of that trend? Show me something that only compares game sales. Stand alone games.

It wasn't a trailer it was the opening of the game. It said that when society collapsed only the people that had guns would be able to survive.

And that is the reality.
A lot of people from Venezuela probably wish now they had guns to fight back against their oppressive regime

>but after that lefty article

Then you fell for it, they use any bait to sell shit now

Good. Loot shooters need to die.

>A lot of people from Venezuela probably wish now they had guns to fight back against their oppressive regime

Hey rabbi, watcha doing?

I like how there's always so much bullshit spun around sales figures.
>Well, it looks like the sequel's digital preorders on all platforms were 5.33 times higher than the first game's week 1 physical sales in the UK
Nigga just give us global sales data instead of this dishonest garbage.

>people are cooking dogs and cats in order to endure the extreme starvation they are going through
Communism again not done in the right way.... Maybe one day, communism will be implemented correctly. I mean, thousands of social studies students claim they have the perfect recipe for a communist government. Apparently, all this illuminated young socialists know something that hundreds of years of failed governments were unaware of cause those governments were implementing "true" communism.

Was it really communism though? Wasn't it just the government banking the country's future on a single industry only to see the global market shift massively the next year?

Is everyone ITT retarded or do they actually think PC is the more popular platform for games like The Division?

>game sold bad
Jesus OP why don't you write a fucking book about it

no steam, no buy

Almost like the first game was horribly disappointing to anyone with a brain.
And no, it didn't get better, only addicts believe that.

Not it wasn't it was "america" and the rest of the globalist mafia putting sanctions on Venezuela for years all because they want their oil resources and Maduro rightfully wont let them near it

Ubisoft should just count their Digital Sales for their PC games. Im not sure how well did the PS4 and XBOXONE version sold though.

Again, most of the sales for these games are on consoles, not on PC.

PC is steadily growing and already surpassed Xbox, but yeah, PS4 is still the dominant

Attached: Untitled.jpg (688x286, 33K)

So, as previously stated, most of the sales for these shitty games are on consoles.

> it sold like korean virgins in a human traffic auction house
Why would anybody want to enslave these faggots, they're useless.

Attached: 29f5206ef06e05adcb328afe16bf077e.jpg (645x334, 53K)

Ubisoft are still producing games for the last gen consoles? Why are they still doing this? Most people would have sold off their XBOX360/PS3/WiiU for the next gen consoles.

>level 26 now
>every yellow/purple enemy is even bullet-spongier than in TD1
Ubisoft lied to me
normal enemies die fast enough tho

watch out, you're trying to talk with an empty slogan slinger

weapons wouldn't help fight the embargos and multiple coup-attemps instigated by the USA tho

>banking the country's future on a single industry only to see the global market shift massively the next year
That's why all the oil monkeys in the middle east are having boiled rat for dinner too?

>just dance

>what is "Damage to Elite" stat?

the previous game only came out 3 years ago you massive retard
there hasnt been a noticeable change in physical to digital in just 3 years

What are your thoughts on the game? Are you enjoying it, Yea Forums?

>there hasnt been a noticeable change in physical to digital in just 3 years

wow almost like every other game the physical sales are way down

>he doesn't know about weak points that instantly shave off the armor

I bet you're always shooting at the head like a cuck

This Epic shills kept conveniently leaving out the part in their screencaps that everyone was just buying the game directly from Uplay and them moving to the Epic store is exactly why pre-orders were up so much on Uplay. The last few times I've bought an Ubisoft game even before they moved off Steam I was already buying directly from them being Uplay was going to be forced anyway.

It's actually a pretty brilliant move by Ubisoft
>Move your 3rd party storefront sales to a new store no one really wants to use that is already getting backlash for buying exclusivity
>Sell the game on your own client that was already forced with your games
>Previous customers are already familiar with Uplay for games bought on Steam and probably have it installed already
>People just go directly your to own storefront where you get 100% profit from sales
>Any sales that are made on Epic also have a bigger cut
It's so simple what they did but it's a very smart move on their part they are essentially encouraging people to buy directly from them and it worked. Ubisoft has wanted people to buy directly from Uplay for awhile because on no other platform be it consoles steam/epic etc they are able to get full profits from a $60 game sale. I just don't think Ubisoft ever wanted to go full EA and force peoples hand by making their games available exclusively on their own launcher.

Digital has been gaining traction fast especially with AAA games. Yearly shit like FIFA has been climbing quickly in digital sales despise selling about the same amount of copies every year. Also I doubt a lot of people give two fucks about physical with The Division knowing it's online only making a physical copy worthless besides the initial install.

>RPG forces you to one very specific playstyle in order to have less shitty gameplay
lel

I just think that its extremely funny that the naked legs of elite-snipers are armored

>rpg forces you to put damage talents on your gear to do damage

WOW

>7 enemies that can kill you in 1.2 seconds swarm your position
>"just shoot their weakpoint that shaves off 1/3 of their armor at best and is found on their backs"
kys

>half a dozen different stats that influence your damage output
>only 1 is viable to build around

imagine supporting Vaginasoft in current year

Attached: strong-wamen.jpg (1920x1080, 196K)

This. Most people hyped for this game already had Uplay installed so they could just directly purchase it from there instead of having to jump through the extra hoop of getting Epic Games Store to buy it, especially since Uplay is needed to play it either way. I mean, at least if they stuck to selling the game on Steam instead of Epic it would make some semblance of sense to buy it there since they already had that installed as well as Uplay, but nobody wants to install extra launchers just for this crap.

Korean women were sold or gifted to mongol conquerors as tribute

its not the only one viable, its just one type of build that helps.
you can build into crit cance + crit damage instead for example.
also you can just aim at the weakpoints

>he doesn't have a designated flanker that causes the enemies to fall back into a corner

You only get chargers if you are attacking from one side. Also equip the sawn off double barrel shotgun in your pistol slot. It literally even kills veteran enemies in two hits.

Suck my dick

why are you afraid of women user? did mommy hurt you?

I wonder when publishers are going to realize that sequels are no longer a sure bet like they were before games-as-a-service.

It's ubishit, who cares

why are you afraid of men user? did daddy hurt you?

nigga did you see me complain about men? stop projecting and get outside for once

The division 2 is games as a service. That's why all the dlc is free.

>physical copies
>physical

epic is all digital sales morons

Still doesn't change that the game sells in physical copies in places like Gamestop, even for the PC release. I mean, it probably is just a box with a disc and a Uplay key either way, but it still counts. Besides, physical sales going down does not equate in an increase in digital sales.

but also doesn't link the decrease to the epic store

>Buying a sequel to a game with no content
ishygddt

>discs
inb4 it's a code printed inside the box

its 6 DVDs

words are immeasurably cheap, so a reply does not mean caring by any degree.

I know, and it sold poorly. They would've been better off making it set in a new universe with a separate premise.

>I thought Ubisoft said The Division 2 sales were well above the original game.
wasnt it preorders?

because epic doesnt release any numbers. still waiting for metro sales

>Was it really communism though?
Yes. And communism/socialism always results in starvation or genocide. Sometimes both.
