Royal Flush was a fluke and he hasn't been objectively great at the game in a while. All the skill anyone sees in him is the natural conclusion of years of experience. His play is largely small-brained and heavily dependent on his talent of technical execution which he's gradually lost too over the years.
He has no chance of being the best, even if he """tries""" now. His losses to ChuDat were the nail in the coffin.
HOWEVER, his failings are in no small part due to his lack of mastery over Falco. He can at least maintain a Top 10 ranking if he switches back to Fox, whose mechanics complement his playstyle far more than Falco does.
