Yeah it prevents any player from deliberately causing a gamestate to become stuck in an infinite loop. If an infinite loop occurs through game mechanics then Pole Position self-destructs to prevent a loop forming, taking the strongest monster on the field with it.

I found Zefra super fun. The options you have while building this deck make it interesting to play cause you usually can't access a one combo fits all and you need to actually weigh your options and play optimally.
Having Synchro, XYZ, Link and Pendulum options all at the same time is great.
I always enjoyed the combo where you synchro Charge Warrior and use his effect + the field spell to search literally any monster and then overlay into a rank 6 using the synchro.

It's because there are literally 3 resources in Yugioh. Your Life Points, your 1 Normal Summon per turn, and whatever cards and effects you can currently activate. MTG and Pokemon both have more resources so even if you have cards you might not be able to play them. In YGO if you have cards there's a 99% chance you can use its effect immediately, and without consequence if your opponent can't interrupt with some form of negation.

Blue yes is my ace I'd say. As unoriginal as it is. But the first set I got was the Kaiba starter deck in Christmas. I can still remember the car ride to our families Christmas party. I was looking at that card the whole time. The way the holofoiling shined in the sunlight snow is something I'll never forget. Everytime I look into its eyes. Also the smell. So definitely blue eyes. I was stoked when he became competitively viable.

Summoned skull is awesome too. Definitely one of my more favored old school cards

listen there are some card combos that you cant help but wonder why nobody bothers. most are slow in a fast paced game
there was one where you play a big combo of cards that gives a field spell buff, changes every type/attribute to water/aqua, stops all effect abilities (skill drain), gives each token a total of 4200 attack, and makes them unable to be destroyed in battle
if i still had my shit on hand i would show it but its dumb and not viable but its fun to see someone who dropped big bucks on some meta game garbage get pushed into a corner by indestructible meatsticks of tokens

At first it may be a little intimidating to play at a locals since many players will have top of the line "Meta Decks", but even a shitty deck that was build off 2 structure decks, a Mega Tin, and a Reprint set with the Solemn Bros can get you far, and at least get you a win, and then you can start to get familiarized with how your homies play at get good-er at the game.

Hope this takes off, solitaire Yu-Gi-Oh is fucking boring.

the mechanics are braindead easy. the problem is that power creep is stupid and banlists are slow.

And Gravekeepers are the best deck right out of the box. Not so great when you've got 3 copies of everything legal, but that's only because fucking blue eyes is busted.

Blue Eyes will be fine if they take care of Champion's Vigilance. It's stupid to allow for 3 copies while also allowing you to effortlessly shit out two blue eyes T1.

Reasons:
Crystal Meme can't save itself because it can't respond to the stat reduction and Borrel's not Level 5 or higher obviously.

Construct gets BORREL'D first, then she blows up Borrel, then you take 2800 to the face.

Psy-Frame works because of how Fast Effect timing works and is just basic YGO. Opponent declares an attack, you activate the Psy-Frame in response. It blows up Borreload, ends the BP, and then your boys get banished.

Eater also works because when Borrel attempts to BORREL'D his ass, Eater can just chain its effect in response because of how SEGOC and Chain Links in general work. Because Borreload's now banished, it can't place Eater in a zone it points to, so Eater stays right where the hell it is.

The Token is frankly just a literal Scapegoat in all of this.

I mean currently is pretty fun right now. Sky Strikers aside, all "top tier" decks are pretty fair and fun to play against, and rogue decks have a great time right now.

It's going to start taking off soon. The reason it didn't before is because Konami's related and assumed people would enjoy a retarded sealed format with no prize support for 2 months. Very soon the 1st Booster Pack set for SD is coming out, and they announced Speed OTS Packs (Basically Special Packs with more competitive players in mind, usually has based cards.)
