I'd buy it, but something about the repetitive nature of Warriors kinda makes the fun wear off quickly.

The only whip users you get are Simon and Richter.
They'll give Trevor a sword and knife. Johnathan will only be a portrait in cutscenes, with Charlotte being playable. Julius doesn't exist.

Yeah, no kidding. There's like 9 different whip users. And those are just the canon ones.

Characters in musou games don't feel different, they just have different looking autocombos

No, because it's the worst of the DS games, and probably the worst of the metroidvanias overall.
Too linear. Weird difficulty curve. Sidequests require tons of grinding.

Dawn of Sorrow is just Aria with anime graphics and some bad touch screen gimmicks. Portrait of Ruin tries to blend Metroidvania and Classicvania, but OoE does a better job of it.

I wonder how all the people who complained about the clones in FEW would feel about 20 whips.

Didn't know I wanted this. Badly. But only if the game has some of the stuff introduced in Hyrule or FE Warriors. Without those additions the game is a bit too repetitive. I mean it still is, but all the maps on that adventure mode of HW kept me interested for hundreds of hours total. Never got FEW, but I know it had some nice stuff too.

Well, one way they could do it is like this:

Juste and Trevor mix, lots of fireballs and ranged capability in his moveset or fire-enchanted subweapons

I'd have Juste focus more on his magic.

Then that leaves Soleiyu, Sonia, Reinhardt, Desmond, Gabriel, and John Morris

That or abuse the magic book system. That's probably his more defining trait: being more magic focused than most of the other belmonts.

Easiest way is to just make most of the Belmonts skin-swaps of each other, since there's really not much to differentiate them. It would be like Robin and Corrin's switchable genders in FE Warriors: same gameplay, but considered different in personality.

Never played a Warriors game, they do look interesting though. Definitely would buy a Castlevania Warriors.
