Ayane has a 10 frame jab, not as fast as Kasumi or Christie. It's pretty difficult to hold that first jab unless you make a read but if they're throwing out the same sequence you can hold the follow up

It's nice that they got the overflow targeted to other characters too, so you can just use whatever character you want and random spread points to the others without waste.
It's actually a pleasant surprise they did it that way. All anyone asked for was to give it to who you were actually using, and DOA quest still throws away the overflow.

High level play is literally the exact fucking opposite of what you described, that's Tekken brainlet mentality. The only throw that can be teched are neutral throws and chain throws after the first hit, you have to time the input to tech the chain throw or you will fail. What dictates if a non throw is guaranteed or not is your frame disadvantage in relation to the speed of said throw.

I don't play her so i actually don't know the command but it's the one where she just punches them in the ear hard enough that they spin around. Reset throws are throws that don't knockdown the opponent and put you at frame advantage or neutral, they are very good for keeping up pressure. As you can probably tell by her fast jabs, she is good at keeping pressure.

It's the same, what he failed to mention is that it's a race to see if you can break the throw before the opponent inputs the next throw command. You cannot mash it as every missed input gives you a frame penaly. In case of a tie and both players do the input on the exact same frame, the player doing the throw will win, that's a way of guaranteeing that chain throws and holds are not rendered useless. You might just be playing against an opponent that is on point with his inputs. You can crouch Mila's offensive hold attempt and punish it with a crouching throw guaranteed, same for Ryu's teleport Guillotine Throw
