What is even this question? Are AAA games too long? Are TPS story-driven games too long? Are all games too long? Today the market is saturated like never, if you find some games too long just skip them.

Being too long isn't the problem, it's that they're long AND stuffed with a bunch of filler to make you feel like you got your money's worth.

I liked it. Brotherhood was my last AC game though.

its not that they're too long, its that they're too fucking padded out and boring. BOTW is long as fuck but i enjoyed my time with it so that wasnt an issue for me

Not too long, but too big. The main things are fine in length, the problem is that the optional stuff are way too much. Would be fine if they were fun, but they're usually just braindead repetitive grinding.

Can finish the game before you hit the original level cap. Then they decide to add level cap to 99, taking away the whole point of Assassin's Creed. Sure, the RPG mechanics can be fun, but it's a bit silly when you need to replace your gear every level, as well as not being able to one shot assassinate enemies. Crit sneak attack a dude for 10% of his hp? Sounds like fun yea? It's not.

Only addicts, and degenerates who loathe displays of plentifullness and wealth (e.g. open worlds), complain that a game is too long.
