Any console that relies on streaming is shit.

Terminal cancer.

I expect it flopping hard.

Ouya but for a Android games

wasnt ouya for android games?

I expect it to flop so hard that google loses billions and their stock reach a record low.

yes. it was basically a console for playing android games on tv.

Ive had a smart phone for 12 years and ive never played any games on them. Is it all Fremium pay 2 play shit still?
> Console to play shit f2p games is gonna crash like bernie in the shower

Attached: rts12ta.jpg (620x350, 24K)

Honestly? I'm hyped, curious to see what the console looks like and what exclusives are for it.

Attached: Sword-disneyscreencaps_com-4474.jpg (360x450, 27K)

Im expecting some garbo streaming console that will have so many latency issues that most games will be unplayable

will be interesting

but fuck streaming

Don't know but I'm actually rooting against it. Google is shit and shouldn't be going for another monopoly

It's mostly pure garbage since Google actively promotes mobileshit cancer like ads and gambleboxes, this won't be any different.

>On Tuesday, after the “Google Reveal” at 10AM PST, the company will be hosting another Developer Day. These “Google Reveal: Developer Sessions” will feature id Software, followed by Ubisoft. Another panel features Amy Hennig (who worked as a creative director on the Uncharted series and EA’s Star Wars game), game designer Raph Koster, and studio Crystal Dynamics.

hopefully something interesting.

Candy Crush 6 is their launch exclusive

I'll wait for the superior Apple gaming console.

the amount of spying they do, they probably know all about your hidden tranny porn.

why is everyone so against streaming?

it's not like it's going to replace anything anytime soon, it'll be just another option for those... I don't really know who, but for someone

Yeah root against it. Better to keep the big 3 in total control, fuck monopolies XD

fuck google

I don't understand it either.

If you buy games "digitally" you're doing the same shit as streaming.

>But I save it on my hard-drive

For what purpose? How many times do you replay shitty steam games?

I'm getting it for my bedroom to replace my Chromecast and do some light gaming when I fall asleep. I'll keep my other consoles in my living room.

No idea, i unironically look forward to it, yes right now it's pretty mediocre at best with noticeable input lag, but if they somehow manage to get past that it would be great, i use Parsec to play games with friends all the time and it's a great experience, one friend has a literally toaster that can barely youtube and he can finally join into the fun

>he still thinks competition exists

Attached: 1544669687788.jpg (784x405, 41K)

>why is everyone so against streaming?

because it will be a good reason for kike ISPs to start putting up prices because of increased traffic

i thought project stream was received pretty well?

>wanting google to be a competitor
I'd rather see foxxconn and their chink slavelords get into consoles before google does. Fuck them.

By who? The investors?

no, by people who played it.

Project Stream had barely worse input lag than a console. People will come around to streaming when they actually try it executed well youtube.com/watch?v=IrIodKaGpEM

Modern consoles already have ridiculously bad input lag.

Fuck off shill

what are you talking about?

have you heard of twitch?

You're about 22 years late

Attached: file.png (630x380, 191K)

>what are you talking about?
I'm talking about the ridiculously bad input lag.

Attached: 176.png (1920x1080, 479K)

I was actually in the test, unlike every idiot with an opinion on streaming

I like the Pixel, so I hope they have something decent here too.

wow I didn't know the difference between 60 and 144 was that big

Shit is already bad enough with the 'sort of but not really' consumer ownership when it comes to the digital distribution of games. Sure can't wait to own none of my games and lose access to them when the licensing agreements between the service provider and publisher ends.
Worse yet, I sure can't wait to lose access to my games library because I said one to many no-no words in an online game.

Great fucking future we're moving towards.

Jesus! But then again consolecucks will be the first to eat streaming up.

You already don't really own your games currently. This is barely any different, except you don't need to own dedicated graphics hardware, upgrade your machine or download games ever again.

Phone shit, gacha, Fortnite, ancient (10+ years old) indie shit
So basically the Switch without portability or bing bing wahoo, which is the whole point of the damn thing

Attached: 11e8zh.jpg (500x327, 19K)

The US barely has the internet infrastructure to support Twitch, much less actual input from you to a game in the "cloud". You'll be pressing a button and it'll register on the screen after ~2 seconds. That's not viable.

Fiber is widely available. It's always people living in some backwoods hole saying 'the infrastructure doesn't exist'. Maybe for you.

The whole northeast has fiber through Verizon, Sonic supplies the west coast and Google Fiber covers the south. Try moving to a major city sometime.

>You already don't really own your games currently.
That's what I said, and it's shit. I don't like the idea of not owning things I paid for. If upgrading hardware is the price to pay for owning what I buy, so be it.
Another big issue is the obfuscation of what is actually being purchased by long ass end user agreements and horseshit legal speak. It should explicitly state on store pages that you are licensing a product, not buying it in terms of ownership.

Also what this guy said. Internet infrastructure is awful in most of North America and will be for years.

Yeah, it’s barely any different beside being completely unable to access any game files, not being able to do anything offline, and having to worry if they pull the plug any moment. Like hell digital distribution was a step back but this, if it becomes standard, is a whole different level

>North America
if by that you mean mexico, sure us is still number one

Another failure like

Nexus Player
Nexus Q
Google Glass
Project ARA
Project Tango
Wave
Buzz
Google+
Hangouts
Allo
etc.

this thread is composed of anons that are going to post wojacks where hes wearing like some google beanie and crying

Assassin's Creed on Project Stream was fine on my internet connection in terms of video quality / input lag. A bigger problem was data usage. It ate up around 11 gigs / hour. With a 1TB monthly data cap from my ISP, I had to start limiting how often I could play or else I would've gone over.

>Streaming

Streaming is the future. Only dumb Boomers deny this.

>American internet will save us from the streaming menace

it's gonna fail worse than Google plus

Attached: pls halp.webm (640x640, 1.78M)

Because it will lead to less control over games. No modding or tweaking inis and you have to keep paying forever to keep games. You may not technically "own" steam games, but if you bought HL2 14 years ago you can still play it today without paying any extra. The same can't be said for streaming

I never understood why people think they "own" the games they buy. Since I was young i could see that videogames were like movies. You pay for the blu-ray and watching it not for the right to have ownership of the movie's copyright. Bunch of brainlets.

My opinion

Attached: Sin título-3r.jpg (1200x950, 1.12M)

It gives you as much control as a YouTube video. Even if you can download it, all you get is a video of what you see and hear on your computer. You never have access to the game's code at all. You can't block patches because the patches are only on the server. You can't mod the game because you don't have the game.

Zoom zoom zoom
>Apple TV already plays games

Input delay. It's the most important thing when it comes to an interactive medium. Modern HDTVs are already bad enough. Adding any more would make games unplayable to me

My town has just over a hundred thousand people and we have two options. Satellite or paying 1 hundred dollars a month for 30 megabits down (sometimes, most of the time it is half that).

Expecting nothig but since I got nothing else to do here goes:

"Monthly sub to play playstore mobile junk on your TV without the ads, you will also get a free game per month or something but most likely gems or whatever in order to get lured into candy crush"

If you have a game on your harddrive you can mod it, 'ownership' or no. You actively have the data and can largely do what you want with it

Not with streaming. You're at the mercy of some corporation as to what you can and can not do with the product your purchased. And that's not a good thing

OLED TVs will become mainstream soon and input lag will be a non-issue.

Not sure what you're trying to say, 100k is tiny. There's enough people living in big cities with access to fiber to support a streaming product easily

Funny cause I keep reading these stories about people having garbage internet at major metropolitan areas because your laws allow for literal internet monopolies.
It's fine though cause soon they'll be charging for usage like it's the electricity or water bill, right? Maybe you'll be able to turn on a light to stream yourself getting a glass of tap water to help down the gallons of corporate cum you're forced to drink

Attached: tenor hgjj.gif (220x148, 43K)

Literal garbage that hopefully cost them billions and fail in less than a year.

>you should uproot yourself to major cities infested with crime, minorities, rapefugees and ball-gouging rents
>better internet though!
Burgerclapistanislavi education

Realistic possibilities
>cloud based streaming ONLY
>featuring Google Play Store from the Google App Family™
>OUYA 2: electric boogaloo
>yet another google project that gets abandoned after 1 year
At best it will be a harmless money sink and a fart in the wind, at worst it will influence the industry as a whole.

It could be if it weren't for ISP monopolies, data caps and awful service

holy shit 207 ms of lag? I remember playing quake 3 back in the day and a ping of 90 ms was considered unplayable.

They have vastly better job opportunities and salaries also, but ok

why the fuck would I move to a big city when I'm perfectly comfortable in my nice little town. Go fuck yourself, retard.
