It ruined the intimate aspect of playing a game, whether that means just you by yourself, you with your friends, or even just your school/job/etc.
Today it seems like the internet, the "shared experience" is part of the game (and everything else), which just doesn't feel the same.

It wont change the larger cultural aspect. Why have puzzles in a game when the answers are a search away? Why have secrets when games are datamined instantly and all the information is thrown up on a wiki. And while it's possible for you to avoid all these, the larger reputation of the game will put you out of step.
