Is it too much to ask to become modestly wealthy and buy an Italian castle complex

Bannerlord castle.jpg

Do you realized that is just a town, right? Walled cities (cities for a medieval standard) are kinda common in some countries

that's my fetish in games

I loved Skies of Arcadia for that. How does Suikoden games perform in that aspect and which one should I play based on this?

Who build this tower and why? It doesn't seem to make any sense.

A wizard.

Based on the size, that looks like just a small decorative folly.

Because the tower came before the lake

Attached: 10 (1).jpg (540x720, 82K)

Gotta have a sweet pad to go to when you're trawling for that mermaid puss

Embarrassed tower

The one in your picture yes, the one in the other picture though has to be just a small decoration. Look how big the duck and its wake are in relation to the 'tower' and how far away the shore is.

I wish...bear with me, I wish Fo4 settlement mechanics were good.

Why not make your own?

Except they can also function as a commune.

wildeyedsoutherncelt.com/tag/palace-gardens-of-sintra/

It was built for the ducks, who knows what mysteries it contains within.

What are some games where you can build a castle?

Stronghold. Pretty much it.
I'm still wondering why there is no medieval castle builder with good graphics. (Anno 1404 is close, but not quite I wanted)

AC2 kinda, KCD DLC let's you build a village, Fo4 if you are okay with USA castle and mods.

Attached: 1528735516378.jpg (1600x1002, 894K)

Why would you think I would know what those acronyms mean

oh right, also Pillars of Eternity got something like that

Attached: 1528735673019.jpg (1500x625, 323K)

>when your start a Civ game on an island

Attached: goat tower.jpg (500x611, 35K)

you don't play video games? google it I guess.

>not built by the ducks
I am disappoint

Because you're on a videogame board, and those are 3 extremely popular, well known and discussed games.
Also that user is wrong, you don't build a castle in any of those games. You upgrade a shitty village
Stronghold and Stronghold Crusaders are your only option

I'm not kidding anymore or being ironic, life would be better as a goat in the goat tower. You have freedom to do whatever you want and the tower belongs to you, but you have no responsabilities or ties to anyone. You believe you're free because you're stupid goat, but you're actually completely safe and being watched over. You get to stand on a heigh which is a simple thrill and pleasure most people take for granted, and you can do it whenever you want.

That KCD DLC is kinda lack lustre. I kinda wish there is a mini game where you help people cement here and there, cutting trees, doing other mundane thing, or you get to control where to put house and building.

But then you can only fuck other goats. Not really big on goats.

Wish granted, you lose your butthole virginity to a furry animal rapist who is now your owner.

Wow, Linux screenshots are starting to turn up more and more.

You will laugh at me, but japanese castles are surprisingly sturdy and hard to take. They are also well defended against artillery like early 17th c fortifications.

Not laughing at you, but I thought that was mostly because they built them in areas that were hard to conquer, like tall hills or on islands in lakes. When I visited a few, I recall a majority of them had to be rebuilt a few times because fires burned them down. They're nice, though I prefer how imposing/grand European castles look

the first castles where super small actually. Though I believe that tower is something built for decoration too, probably someone trying to emulate the romanticism of arthurian legends. One sign of that is the fact that the tower is round, the earliest castles where square and the round towers only came when artiellery was invented.

It's a shame MGS2 has Big Shell and MGS5 fell for the open world meme, the game would be infinitely better if all the events took place here. Tight sections with options to climb around stuff make for an interesting obstacle course for you to infiltrate.

IIRC the developers tried to replicate some of the architecture from St-Émilion (an old village in southwest France, near Bordeaux, famous for its corresponding wine appelation) and its surrounding region, i.e. romanesque style with yellow / ocre limestones etc.

>against a easy to identify enemy

Like any extreme ideology you require enemies.

Socialists: Proletariat vs Bourgeoisie
Islam: Muslim vs Kafir
Racial identitarians: Black vs White

Easy to identify enemy is just part of human nature, it's all the same shit just repackaged. If you want to avoid any situation like the point you're have issue with, distance yourself from ideologies that require heavily statism.

Ew

The jutting portions of the star forts allow the defenders to have overlapping sectors of fire and also keeps more of the main wall out of range of the enemies guns. The pointed, sloped angle of the walls also makes them more resistant to cannon fire. These castles (starforts) were designed by very intelligent people.

Well, try to siege one of these starforts during the musket era and you'll see how effective they are. You'll be able to hold a city long enough for reinforcements to arrive.

Universe at war, could have been a good retro title for GoG or similar providers but it's hardfucked with the now defunct games for windows life service built into it, fucking petroglyph retards

>You will never have a stupid amount of money
>You will never renovate or build your own castle.
I'd love to do that shit, Ireland has tons of abandoned castles dotted around the country, it would probably cost a ton to renovate them but it would be cozy.

I'd also love the lighthouse from anchorman 2.

Was popular for a while for wealthy landowners to create decorative rustic-looking "follies" in the grounds of their homes.

Two reasons:
The style was used as an a excuse to copypaste cheap & lazy public housing everywhere
No one actually maintains the damn things so they get covered in mildew and dystopia

Not many bugs anymore, but the game itself becomes easy quickly. If you're after a realistic-feeling medieval game you'll be disappointed. It's fantastic for the first 4-5 hours but it doesn't take long to become OP and the rest of the game will be a breeze with you as a standard "hero".

>Even if it’s not exactly a castle, Chateau Frontenac is still kino, especially since it’s in north america
Canada unironically has some god-tier architecture in general
