The combat in Origins is a dumbed down Drakensang rip off. "Muh tactical depth" isn't even there, you can defeat enemies with the same 3 powers of any class.
DA 2 had a similar system, but at least speed it up and made it fun to play.

I've played the trilogy dozens of times and I have more than 600 hours in Inquisition, playing in two different systems, and the parts that Inquisition does good, are ok (and scarce), and the parts that it does bad... are fucking terrible.

The Descent and Trespasser are actually pretty fucking great. New scenery, new enemies, lore if you want to explore, a well defined objective and villain.

I agree with the waves, but is was a lot more enjoyable and I didn't made "Not again..." if I encountered enemies again. It's basically the exact same system (excluding the waves that fall from the sky), but speed up with cool animations and this makes a huge difference.

i just couldnt bring myself to keep playing the game after a few hours despite liking the first game a lot. the companions are unappealing. the gameplay is literall mmo tier. the art style is generic and bland but also (bright?) like the typical cartooney diablo 3 style of "dark"
and so on and so forth. the only thing that sparked my interrest for a second was asking myself what kind of companions i might find.
