What's/v/'s opinion on this game, I've been playing it for a few days and am already loving it

It's an enjoyable janky mess, just like every other Piranha Bytes game.

really, ran perfect for me and I was even on fucking linux running it under wine

on a related for higher level things, starting on Ultra was pretty fun, spent nearly all the early game running from everything and being diplomatic to avoid combat and eventually became a walking god that took revenge on everything

shitty game that people somehow tried to declare as good by shielding it with the word "jank". Gave it 1 hour and it was fucking terrible that I think everyone who says elex is good and uses the term jank are shills

The jank is understandable but did they fix all the fucking bugs it had or is it still a hot mess?

Never played the original version but I played it recently (gog version) and can't think of any bugs, never crashed in like 200 hours played too.

it's still a weird game but it certainly didn't feel buggy

I can live with weird, as long as it's not broken. I had a strange affinity for the Two Worlds games.

Its space gothic

Unironically a good action adventure rpg. Character system is fun, fights are good in theory but bad in reality. The first Mass Effect and vtm Bloodlines remain the best action rpgs in terms of how combat is portrayed.
Game world and story are engaging, you'll have fun if you enjoy reading.
Overall not a must play but well worth your time to complete at least once.

Great. The only "proper" Gothic type game after Gothic 2, despite all the Risens, first of which was actually decent.

lots of issues with gameplay, but still amazingly interesting to play because features typical rich Piranha Bytes handcrafted world thats amazing to explore - the story and quests are ok too.

Should I go back and play through gothic? I've been experimenting in older RPGs like baulders gate and fallout, and am finally finding my groove in gaming again.

jank is not a positive term in this context. when someone says a game is jank but fun they are trying to warn you up front that it has issues but there is some good stuff there if you are willing to overlook or work with the issues. sounds like you were too retarded to understand that.

No the graphics and animations are extremely outdated for today's standards.
