>first time being attacked by Super Nova
>awed at the massive scale of the move
>enjoying every second of the stupidly long attack
>he's literally exploding the sun on my face holy shit
>percentage damage based on current HP

I was disappointed.

The actual dangerous part of the attack are the status ailments it inflicts, but most players have ribbons on the whole team by that point so it's a nonissue.

Regardless. The best part of the fight is when he does it again and blows up the exact same solar system a second time

Kinda embarassing that this followed up on Kefka.

Zeromus wants his fight gimmick back.

>Super Nova
>a skill the enemy uses
>can't learn via Enemy Skill

heh

>DURR HURR KEFKA IS THE BEST
Real sick of FF6 fags wearing equally large rose tinted glasses as ff7 fags.

Estuans interius ira vehementi, estuans interius ira vehementi
Sephiroth!
Sephiroth!

At least Zeromus can actually kill you with Big Bang.

This. It should have been an HP check. Like, it should have done something like 9998 HP damage so the only way you could survive it is if you were max hp or had auto revive.

Will the remake look as cool?

Let me consult my crystal ball, brb.

Go suck your husband's crystal balls you flaming faggot.

>implying the remake is ever getting released.

>Will nu-squeenix do x well?

monkaS

MOVING AT ONE MILLION MILES AN HOUR, USING ALL MY POWER. I SELL IT BY THE HOUR, I HAVE IT SO I MARKET IT. YOU REALLY CAN'T AFFORD IT. THERE GOES A SUPERNOVA WHAT A PUSHOVER-YEAH. THERE GOES A SUPERNOVA WHAT A PUSHOVER.

And the doggo's face is yfw you forgot to equip status resistance and your whole party is now confused with less than 10% HP left.

So once he learns he isn't an ancient and the Jenova is a space parasite, why does he still want to summon meteor?

But he never learns that he isn't an ancient, as far as I remember. Hojo kept lying to him and even if he had told him the truth, Sephiroth was already too far gone.

He mentions it in the Temple of the Ancients

>that hp
speedrun?

the cells from the Jenova head he got thrown into the make reactor with took control over him. or something, probably.

Why did we get a feature length film for the attack anyway

New console generation, new capabilities, new aesthetic for the series, they went completely fucking overboard showing it off. They figured "nothing succeeds like excess". It was a very successful game, though, it worked.

Because he came to hate everything. He wants to absorb the Lifestream and become a god to remake the world, believing himself to be a superior architect than whoever made it the first time around.
He just thinks nothing's worth preserving and that he can do better.
Sephiroth learns the truth of Jenova and the Cetra within the Lifestream.
No.

sure

This will be his final smash. He will be in Smash to promote the remake (that's not coming to the switch because square is a cunt). He comes with the stage forgotten city and 1 fucking song.

The sense of power when you use this for the first time was really nice.

Cut content

That might have been too much. Final boss fights need to feel challenging without actually being challenging. You don't want people giving up right at the end, or getting so frustrated that the excitement of the climax is lost. You need to consider what an average, reasonably well-prepared player's team is going to look like and build the fight with that in mind.

This is why a lot of games have a relatively difficult penultimate boss but then an easy final boss. They want to give you a challenge at the end of the game, but they don't want to kill your momentum right as you're going into the ending because they want you to come away from the game feeling good about it.

Maybe he should've used it on death, killed the other 2 and then led into the outro fight from there. That kills an extra bird (him blowing up the solar system multiple times) and links it better to end confrontation.

>You don't want people giving up right at the end, or getting so frustrated that the excitement of the climax is lost.
This shit is what killed Xenosaga for me.
Fuckin' ridiculous final boss fights.
Enjoy the strange story and characters and developments through to the end, get shitstomped by the end boss 30 times and feel disgusted by the experience.

I wish this game was properly finished.
