Anyone who answered anything besides "I don't know" is a faggot.
Beamdog is a guilty of a number of different crimes. Here are the major ones.
1. The Enhanced Editions are essentially a collection of free mods that had existed for nearly twenty years. Beamdog gathered them all up, slapped "Enhanced Edition" on it and resold it as a new product. There's very very little in the Enhanced Editions that wasn't already out there, and most of it is stuff you don't want (like obnoxious character outlines).
2. The games didn't sell so well and the originals were still far outselling them, even twenty years after their release, so Beamdog had EVERY digital distributor stop selling the originals and ONLY sell the Enhanced Edition. If you want to buy a digital copy of the originals now, they're "bundled" into the Enhanced Edition. Now these scumbags can claim sales from people just wanting to buy the originals as their own.
3. The infamous 600+ bugs on launch. The game is still riddled with bugs (as even a perfunctory glance over their forums show) but the fact that it took nearly two years for them to get a game that had been working fine for 20 years to reach playability after launch is telling of their wild incompetence.
4. This is where we get to the ones that really piss people off. Beamdog couldn't just remaster the game, they had to fuck with the content too. New dialogue for existing NPCs like Jaheira, Viconia, Safana, Kivan, et cetera was written in to make the characters more progressive and leftist friendly. Beamdog shills will argue that "adding content isn't changing content XDDD" but it is when the new content changes the core personalities of the existing characters. This is in addition to adding a slew of their own LGBT (hitherto there were none in Baldur's Gate) NPCs, all flooded with OP attributes and magic items to encourage people to play them despite their cancer.
5. Siege of motherfucking Dragonspear.
Define "nature of a man", Ravel.
Imagine answering this with a modern Bioware/Bethesda dialogue wheel.
>normal yes
>angery yes
>cocky yes
>snarky yes
>inquisitive yes
>flirty yes
i plead the fifth
define nature
define man
define define
I said regret because that seemed like the correct answer given the game's themes.
I like the addition of number 6, keep it up based beamnig poster
"nothing, for if a man changes, it is already his nature to do so in the first place" - user
dishonest game design
Suffering. Search your feelings, you know it's the true answer.
Trauma
Suffering. Man is malleable and adaptable. It's through the stress of trauma that our boundaries are defined. And it is through trauma as well how they change or develop.
How come? All answers but 15. are correct.
Belief
a pair of big tits. unironically what drives us
Is something wrong with Planescape's Enhanced Edition? Or is that just about Baldur's Gate?
Beammutts will never be able to recover while this user still lives
"That's a really gay, defeatist attitude that only serves to justify your underachieving nature" -another user
why is "a woman" the only lie?
It's the only one that doesn't tamper with anything, keeps the restored content from patches like the unfinished business bits, no new companions, no unnecessary changes.
Honestly the only one I'd buy if you don't care about sticking it to Beamdog.
never played whatever this kusoge is but the correct answer is regret
/vr/ looks fucking depressing, you have quite clearly one booty blasted faggot who I'm 95% sure is the janny deleting the posts he doesn't like, and most of the thread got nuked because it wasn't dicksucking both the janny and Beamdog.
The game literally gives you the correct answer later.
Only time travel
Janny could be a Beamdog employee, wouldn't be the most bizzare thing I've seen
Logically nothing can change the nature of a man because once you change the nature of something it becomes something else, and man cannot become something other than a man.
ok retard
Have you actually played the game?
That's Planescapes entire overarching theme.
>posting a link to a thread where you absolutely sperged out because you weren't allowed to spam your copypasta
b-based?
What game had this pretentious tripe?
PU.
Not bizarre at all. In fact shills are the ones with the greatest incentive to become jannies.
All of the above?
pathetic sperg
Achilles will never catch the turtle, huh? Quite an original and thought provoking opinion.
Because you're deliberately trying to manipulate Ravel into liking you more.
based bloomer
Make me Ravel you faggot
Pretty sure you can reach a "belief can change the nature of a man" at some point during that tree. And it's the best answer based on the whole premise of the game.
I'm pretty sure the "nature" it's referring to is what would change a man's disposition/attitude/perspective, his "default state" so to speak. In that case, it can't be Love, Hatred, Power or Greed, those are transitional states that bring out elements of his "nature." For example, If a man would abuse power, then he would always abuse power. If he hasn't, then he doesn't have any power to abuse. It is in his nature to abuse power.
Betrayal, Age, Regret, Suffering and Success are transitional states of mind, these draw out aspects of the man's nature but they can't "change" it, a man will act a certain way to the stimulus.
A man may adjust his behavior to accommodate other people, but it doesn't change his core person unless he is deranged in some way and has a weakened sense of self.
Lifelong learning is a thing, and a person's nature is the sum of his reactions to his past experiences in a way, but by the time he is an adult, he is basically set in his mental state and his nature can't be influenced to any great extent.
All those things can make you bitter and twisted if you don't have a healthy perception of them.
"That's a really good, positive attitude that only serves to reinforce your self-improving nature" -another user
Sissy Hypno Porn
keep on beaming based user
People don't change. You can try to change, and you can pretend to be the person you wanted to change into, and in effect you will be no different than if you had changed, except that it will require constant unceasing effort on your behalf to maintain your pretensions, and the slightest lapse will send you sliding immediately back to who you were before. Someone who is "naturally" that person maintains their behaviour without effort - someone who changes into that person will never do anything more than pretend, and the pretension will be constant and demanding.
It's why anti-suicide activists kill themselves out of the blue 30 years after they "beat" it. They never beat it. It was hounding them for the entire time, and all they ever did was pretend. It's why fat people who lose weight get fat again. It's why criminals reoffend despite their best intentions. Plus, you have so little control over your upbringing that you have practically zero input into what your "natural" state is going to be. You might as well be born that way for all you can change it. In this sense, some people are simply born to be miserable. Some people are born broken and they will never be mended.
Evidently there exists a single pound and indeed a single molecule and a single atom and a single quark or whatever fundamental particle that does indeed change him from fat to thin.
The limitations of human perception and language should not be misconstrued as fundamental forces of the universe.
It's actually a lie because it says "a beautiful woman" and there's no plane on which ravel is beautiful
>man
Now bend over "princess"
Is this a true or dishonest post?
Imagine being such a stupid faggot you can't see the wildly different contexts in which the question is being asked and understanding that the answer is different based on that context
>large = obese
>thin = not obese
This is such a stupid """""""""""paradox""""""""""""
When did Yea Forums get so retarded? You used to be smarter than this.
muh perception
As we perceive things by the labels we put on them, there is also everything unlabeled. Therefore there is no point defying what triggers a transition according to what an audience says.
No, the problem is in the framing of the question. Thresholds have minimum quantas. You don't measure fat in terms of molecules, that's retarded. A standard quantum for fat-not fat is something like body fat percentage. A drop of 1% body fat can take you out of fat to average.
What game is this?
>itt
BMI is ridiculously flawed and it's a crime it still finds such widespread use despite being bullshit
lose weight
People are only ever shaped by their environment. Change the environment and you will change the person. All attempts to change from within will fail because free will is an illusion.
Fat and thin are relational and can only describe a comparison between two objects. One person is fatter than the other because they weigh more than the other.
Even if you just call someone fat, there is an underlying assumption that there is a standard weight and "technically" anything over that weight is considered fat(ter).
I really appreciate you nerds coming in here and telling me about this game. I've never played it!
user, youve made the classic mistake of confusing the truth with a fact.
keep fighting the good fight my nigga
The new Torment game was pretty good vee, why did you lie to me?
Yea Forums never actually played the original torment game so when the new one came out and they tried it they realised they actually had to read. This caused them all to say it sucks.
THE ANSWER IS ALWAYS TIME
Fuck, none of you will ever properly punch a clock or a cock.
>What can change the nature of a man?
What do you mean nature of man? The chain of causality and decisions that lead me here or some kind of nebulous and abstract kind of fate that bind us all?
>Uh... i don't know that...
>AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH*gets sucked into the abyss*
Thank you for solving this ages-old paradox, user. I'll be sure to let the proper people know of your outstanding discovery, as-well as how they're all idiots for not seeing the solution sooner.
Regret is the correct answer.
Time. All compounded phenomena is impermanent.
What's wrong with NWNee?
The worst thing is that most modules dont work correctly with it, you run into a lot of gamebreaking bugs. The thing I was most excited about was a UI that would be larger on 1080p resolutions but it turned out to be a blurry mess.
I suppose if you are only playing the official main campaign its ok, I wouldn't say its worth paying for though.
translation:
>if i say any game with more than 10 words of text is """"pretentious"""" i can keep up the illusion of appearing smart, while giving me an excuse to never actually play the game because reading is too hard for me
Really? Now I gotta refund and pirate diamond editon and get it working all over again.
I just wanna play Sapphire Star
You could always try and see if it works, but ive tried 6 different modules before giving up on the enhanced edition. The worst is when you get hours into the module before the enhanced edition breaks it.
Which modules? Don't say Dance with Rouges
>a universe where cities and an entire kingdom are created just with the faith of their rulers alone, a faith based on a lie you made up nonetheless
>a universe where you can literally destroy a person by convincing them they don't exist
It's not depending on context. A persons conception of reality can literally change reality in Planescape.
>Don't say Dance with Rogues
Ive tried
A dance with rogues
Aelund Saga
Bastard of Kosigan
Enigma Island
Tales of Arterra
They all have problems where either the scripting breaks and the game crashes, sometimes hours into the module. None of these problems happen on the original.
>What do you mean nature of man? The chain of causality and decisions that lead me here or some kind of nebulous and abstract kind of fate that bind us all?
That's the point of the game.
damn dude.....
BASED
>Bastard of Kosigan
This hurts even more.
I've been playing NWN: EE and this is all true, beamdog are incompetent faggots. Just playing through Aielund Saga and 2 times already the game crashes so hard it corrupts my savegame and deletes the quicksave. I got lucky that the game autosaved beforehand so I didn't lose too much progress, but you can easily lose 5 modules worth of playtime because of this. And it NEVER happened in 1.69
Fuck beamdog and fuck everyone who supports these fucking retards
What is a man?
updated my journal
I'm
But I never got any bugs with ADWR and I used the release EE version. Swordflight has bugs where the transition zone is missing in a few places but I used DebugMode to teleport to next area, I think this is fixed in newer version of EE. Already mentiononed Aielund saga but other than the savegames crash/corrupt/deleting I didn't see any bugs. Prophet series works fine too.
But this is all hit and miss with EE I think, you're either lucky or not so the best thing to do is just use diamond version.
the only feature of bgee that was decent is the zoom feature. SoD was completely shit and boring. the content was mind-numbingly liberal and destroyed the feel and atmosphere of the original game.
original baldurs gate supported that one paper doll mod, the 10 player party mod and + the BGT mod added in most of the features EE does
t. Played Planescape, but never actually beat it
yeah i like how shit the game looks when zoomed in too
