although i can understand why people prefer the shonen style writing, it really fit the plot for the games they were used in

I was not expecting this kind of Big's role, and hell, I wasn't at all expecting a GENUINE good cute role.
For a moment, I was a bit shocked upon sighting the whole representation and attention Big receives. This was a really refreshing, really enriching, and really fantastic to see one of my favorite characters, Big, to do SOMETHING else, that wasn't anything about shoddy memes and "THAT character"'s constant reminders. I like the quiet silent yet kind and gentle slow posture he adopts here, I enjoyed every single screen-time of him, and I love, love, LOVE the fluffy fur of his body pushed to the upper middle hole of his t-shirt.
What, the lord? I was not expecting this at all. This is, no doubt, the best part of the animation. Big FINALLY receiving plenty of GOOD spotlight. I may nitpick that he could have shown a bit more emotion than just a stale blank static face, but I won't complain about that.
Holy fuck. Big, you absolute cutie, I will always wish that I want to be your cuddly buddy for the rest of my life. Holy mother of shit, I absolutely adore this.

Every time I see big I can’t enjoy something. Not because I hate his character, it’s his feet. They are just blobs, he has no toes. Every time i see him it reminds me that this is what sonic characters feet look like, and I hate it. Imagine sonic giving one of his typical cocky one liners, but his feet are actually just furry blobs of flesh, it completely changes how you view that scene. Shadow being brooding and serious, but then you imagine that his feet are just cartoon, featureless blobs. Imagine the furries who fap to rogue and amy, and then realise their feet are just fleshy fucking slabs of blob, imagine that shit. It’s all you would notice if they were nude. I fucking hate the blob feet and big is just a constant reminder

Big needs not really any big (pun not intended) new entertainment media to encourage barazoku artists to draw him. He's the type to receive new art and porn, little by little, weekly or monthly. Rotor, in the other side, practically, receives only one or two fanarts and porns yearly (sadly), and he would need a good amount of spotlight and show-off for attention and gathering more fans of his.
Big may receive a good influx of art, regardless. While I'm happy with this, I also deeply wish Rotor could receive the same kind of love...

If this is true, then fantastic, ultimately fantastic. I have now got high hopes that, with Tyson inboard of the company, Big will consistently finally receive plenty more (GOOD) attention (at least on comics and animations).
Stylized blob feet, two single toes on a blob feet (Forces), three on blob feet... It doesn't matter for me. Theses all are good choices that can fit with Sonic characters and make them look attractive. The only one gripe I have related to this subject, is when realistic humanized detailed feet is a choice that most comic and fan artists choose to draw over Sonic's gang, and that's really a bad idea.
