Best time to watch obviously with literally EVERYONE streaming. NaDa, Flash, JD, etc are all fucking streaming on youtube or afreeca. Last years ASL finals was probably one of the best finals ever as long as you can get past the sub par commentators.

This season's ASL has probably been the best one thus far. Skip the ro24s maybe, but some of the ro16s and most of the ro8 matches are incredible.

We ended up getting Rain vs Effort as the third place match, but it was ridiculously one-sided. Rain just can't get it up for anything less than the championship, I guess

Viewcounts aren't super high, many good players are leaving or have left to do military service but besides that it seems to be keeping on going fine, especially as SC2 players trickle back to broodwars.

Infestors got nerfed to hell a long time ago and are no longer a requirement to build every single non-mirror match. Keep in mind that in the old days, infestors were so broken that schlubs like Destiny could take games off top Koreans like Bomber.

Don't be sure. Their most recent offline games in KSL1 Mini won 3:0, then Last won 3:1 when they met again. And that was the tournament Last won, when he was at his absolute peak. Then in ASL6 Mini went 1:0 against Last.
Mini definitely has a good chance here. He's not going to go full retard like Rain did and go zealot heavy, he's a born reaver user. And blockchain is so reaver friendly it's ludicrous.

I'm honestly more excited about seeing mini's body contort when he loses in a final more than anything else. Even the slightest mistake causes him to feel physical pain, if he fucks up on a massive stage he's going to be writhing on the floor

SC2 is better. More strategies, more variety, more micro, looks and sounds better. And waay the fuck more fun strats like rushing to Battlecruisers.
This is where someone REEEEEEEEEs about SC1 having way more micro, but all it is is microing workers, the most boring unit in the game, and reaver drops.
