Megaman 11 is very very good!

DMCV Remake 2 and MHW are all fantastic.

I couldn't give less of a shit about Megaman 11.

Street Fighter V remains shit and hasn't course corrected.

I feel like they were testing the grounds for a new Onimusha but not enough people care.

Breath of Fire has been murdered with shit mobile shit games.

I want Remake 3 but more that anything I really want to be playing Dragons Dogma 2 in a couple of years.

>someone finally remembered to include MM11
based

PC version of each game listed is superior

Nothin for your ol pal Nintendo, capcom?

>pc redditor has to bring up his platform at every conversation or he might regret his $1500 investment
Yikes

OLD GAME GOOD
JUST MAKE NEW GAME LIKE OLD GAME
(except MHW)
10/10s ACROSS THE BOARD

megaman 11 is fantastic

>I feel like they were testing the grounds for a new Onimusha but not enough people care.
According to Capcom they were actually fairly happy with the Warlords HD sales.

How can it possibly be that the MEGA MAN box is the least blue of all of these?

AA7 is in development

Capcom thought the Switch was going to fail so they had nothing in the pipeline for it. Now they are 2 years behind and probably lost their chance to have a strong reputation on it.

Anyone can have a strong reputation on Switch given the absolute dirth of content on it.

>t.cuck
Megaman 11 is shit and you eat shit. X1 is the only decent Megaman game. It doesn't even come CLOSE to sonic.

Pretty sure a new onimusha game is already in development and will be released in the next 12 months. Same thing happened with DMC when the hd collection released

Isn't megaman 11 on switch?
They had the demo first too iirc
Also it seems they thought it was going to be a ps vita tier failure, so they just kept dropping ports untill now, only bethesda had some balls with the console at launch

>the absolute dirth of content on it.
Weak bait.

No one thinks Capcom is a total mess now. In fact most people are quite optimistic for the future. Sure they're not perfect but they're actually making good games again.

>God Hand IP still in limbo
>Optimistic for the future

So what will be announced this year: Onimusha or a new fighting game?

Attached: 1552607271606.png (264x255, 86K)

>no physical in europe
Would have triple dipped

How good is the Onimusha rerelease?

>snoyfags
>appreciating a good game like Megaman 11
Fuck off with this shit

Why do so many games on Nintendo platforms not get physical releases in EU? I remember SMTIV:A didn't get one either.

>Onimusha
They will probably announce ports of the other 3 games, then a new game will be revealed months later.

There was Travis Strikes Again and...?

based

Nintendo seems to view Europe as an afterthought.

You know their region free.
If you live in europe you vould just order an import, its what I did for resident evil revelations because that shit didn't get a physical release either.
In fact, im sure the new resident evil ports aren't getting a physical release here to.

Cope.

Good lord what is your autistic obsession with this "hurr hurr Nintendo vs Capcom"? Can you please put on a trip so I can filter you?

Wait, is NA getting a physical release for the REmake/RE4 port?

I’m not the one relying on promises of the future

Please. Don't tease me. I've been waiting for a new Onimusha for so long...

I'm not sure.
I'd imagine it would much in the vain that REmake/0 did for ps4 with RE4 sold separately.
Their listed on the store for $35 each digitally atm though.

Nice capcom. reaaaal nice.
but call me when you make GOD HAND 2

Nearly ALL atlus games are expensive as fuck in PAL regions because of the fucking artificial scarcity they engineer to make the prices triple.
I wouldn't mind but fucking scalpers end up buying all the new copies up the second their released.
Im not paying £75+ for a fucking copy of PAL apocalypse or £100 for 3FES.

GH2
fucking when

Attached: godohando.gif (280x158, 901K)

Nintendo stopped distributing Capcom's games in Europe for them because Nintendo realized they would be better off not supporting overpriced old ports from Capcom considering that's all Capcom has been willing to give it

And they were right, hence Capcom has gotten mad and is now charging 30 bucks for some old ass Resident Evil games and are making Switch owners buy Dragon's Dogma if they want a new game

Attached: jewcom.png (814x652, 313K)

nintendo drones need to always be reminded what happened with the Capcom 5
Capcom stuck their neck out for Nintendo to release 5 big games exclusively for Nintendo but Nintendo fags only care about Nintendo games. Even Resident Evil 4, probably one of the most beloved games ever made wasn't enough for Nintendo fags

$10 Switch tax is nothing new

Only RE0 is getting a physical release. RE is a download code and RE4 is digital only everywhere.

Capcom was so fucking cheap they put the most forgettable mainline RE game on a cart and the other 2 are download only. Don't even think about importing from Japan, they're digital only there as well.

Attached: recollection.png (563x654, 445K)

Rockstar could get away with selling GTAV a 4th time for $60
Surprised they haven't bothered putting it on the Switch yet when it could defiantly run
I guess cause the online would be to much of a hassle

Only if they had a physical release, where it made sense.
RE1 and RE4 are digital only, and Capcom still jacked the prices up

>The one no one wants is getting the physical release
What is their end game?

Europe fucking sucks, that's why.

Yeah, its a good thing they didnt announce that RE4 was going to get a ps2 port before the Gamecube version released or anything, its not like that could have affected sales at all.
In fact nearly all those games got ported to the PS2 so no, capcom wormed their way out of that exclusivity deal didnt they ?

Nintendo advertised the fuck out of Monster Hunter on 3DS for Capcom and made it to where MH4U was the first ever MH to sell 1 million outside Japan.

What does Capcom do? Makes MHW for every console except their newest one, and gives them a lazy 3DS port sent to die for 60 dollars.

I absolutely was looking forward to 4 and REmake on the go but these prices are ridiculous

>Makes MHW for every console except their newest one
And it was more successful than any other MH.
Cope

>A game released on three platforms does better than an exclusive
Who could've seen that coming?

If you seriously think that announcing a PS2 port of RE4 caused the game to sell like dogshit on gamecube you're a retard, especially considering that REmake was a gamecube exclusive for a long time and that also sold like complete crap.

MHW was successful as fuck, and none of the money they made went into improving any of their Switch support considering they were too fucking cheap to put any of their RE games on a cart except the shittiest one

they ported them because all the games sold like shit on gamecube

here's a fact, Paper Mario Sticker Star is still the 23rd best selling 3DS game
23 doesn't really sound like an impressive number until you think about just how many 3DS games there are, and realize how many actually good games are under it
But its still got Mario!

the only 3rd party 3DS games that are above it are Yo-Kai Watch 2 (both versions), and yes the Monster Hunter games. But that's it

>announce port for vastly more popular console
>be surprised when version on a console that sold less than 23 million sells awfully

Exactly, and if they had to make a game for Switch it would have to be exclusive because it would have to look really shitty to be able to run on the Switch.
And no one other than Switch owners are okay with buying games that look like shit.

So, one out of four ain't bad, huh? Guess.

Did Warlords sell? If it didn't than the series might be dead, Capcom has been testing the waters with some old games to see which ones still have demand, Warlords and the Beatemup collection were clear tests.
That's why i think we might be getting some more collections or remasters in the near future from Capcom

How wouldn't it affect sales you mong.
Tonnes more people owned PS2's than gamecubes.
They knew it was coming out for the console they owned before it had even been released "exclusively" for the gamecube.
Henceforth reducing the need to buy it when it released, unless you happened to have a gamecube anyway or were just that hardcore of a fan to buy a new console for one game.

>and none of the money they made went into improving any of their Switch support
Focusing on PS4 and PC seems to be working out pretty fucking well for them right now. Why divert resources?

>the ports were announced because the games not even released yet sold like shit

Attached: 1521511112707.png (558x614, 32K)

>And no one other than Switch owners are okay with buying games that look like shit.
You'd be surprised.

Attached: 1525063457513.jpg (1148x1380, 422K)

>Make REmake exclusive to Gamecube
>It sells like shit because the people that own Gamecubes don't care about RE
Don't blame Capcom for nintendofags not buying their games.

people having 2 consoles weren't really in vogue until Wii360

They already divert resources to give the Switch cashgrab ports because as they clearly can't live without the money so why not put in some fucking effort?

I bought it.

REmake was a gamecube exclusive too and despite an extremely great critical reception almost no one went out of their way to buy a gamecube to play it and the existing install base on that system didn't buy it either so it sold like shit.

Its sad that Ryse was just a glorified tech-demo and never got a sequel

Sure the game itself was very mediocre, but I feel that there was potential for an sequel

Well good, you have at least passable taste in vidya.
Didn't stop the game from selling terribly though.

congrats, you're one of the 5 people who have a Nintendo system and buy more than Pokemon and Mario

>le nintendo fans don't buy third party games maymay
Also the RE Remake was exclusive to the gamecube for over a decade, so it clearly sold well enough to stay on the Gamecube.

Viewtiful Joe sold like shit on both systems.
So did Killer7.
That Phoenix game was cancelled.
And that P.3 One game or whatever it was called was ass (literally)

The Capcom V was an outright failure

That's because all of the games were incredibly niche, barring RE4.

I would be the first to admit that the ports are cheap as fuck but that's because Capcom sees easy money. Switch owners are starved for content and are likely to buy anything no matter how lazy or overpriced it is.
Just look at Octopath Traveler; thing was at least $20 overpriced yet it still sold great at $60 because summer of 2018 was a fucking wasteland for Switch games.

RE4 didn't do too hot on the PS2 either.

Why do you think Capcom ported it to every other fucking console?

They're an AA company now. RE Engine was made to save them money and they're saving even more money not giving games a proper budget. So they have to rely on reussing assets. It's why they didn't sperg out when RE7 and RE2make didn't do gangbusters. It's also why DMC5 had reussed environments with slight recolors. The higher ups at Capcom are cheeky as fuck.

Didn't RE7 sell upwards of 5 million copies? Did they have SquareEnix tier expectations, where if a game doesn't sell 20 million units, it's deemed a failure.

gaming was much smaller during 6th gen, even games that would be considered niche today could become big successes
1 million copies sold use to be a big deal
even in a market that expects niche success those games sold like shit

I enjoy my switch for what ot is but even I admit that the lack of actual third party support is depressing.
Kinda like a mini-vita atm, though there is confirmation of actual games coming again so thats good.

Nail it. ahahahahahsas

>Also the RE Remake was exclusive to the gamecube for over a decade, so it clearly sold well enough to stay on the Gamecube.
It barely sold over a million copies, and I think the main reason they didn't port it was probably due to more pressing concerns with other games at the time and then a few years later Capcom went full retard because of Inafune.

Octopath was a new game, got a physical release and special advertising from Nintendo.

None of Capcom's games get that treatment because Nintendo realizes Capcom doesn't deserve it. They actually cut Dragon's Dogma from the last Nintendo Direct outside Japan because of how fucking cheap it was.

Bitch slapped.

I thought REmake sold over a million units on the GCN. It couldn't have been that big of a failure. It also received acclaim from fans and critics alike.

I actually own a Switch too so I feel the sting as well.
Luckily I have a gaymin PC so I'm not left hanging.

thats probably why it stayed on gamecube for so long

>I couldn't give less of a shit about Megaman 11.
Bitch.

>Did they have SquareEnix tier expectations, where if a game doesn't sell 20 million units, it's deemed a failure
About 6-7 years ago, yeah. RE6 was supposed to make CoD numbers and despite selling like 6 mil it wasn't remotely good enough for the massive budget.

The most blatant samefagging I've ever seen.

>not giving games a proper budget
I'd call that smart development, honestly. A smaller, more focused game will almost always be better than 400 million dollar this-has-to-appeal-to-everyone gruel

Thats the key to it.
I play most my stuff on PC and just have my switch as a little thing on the side.
Its still sad considering it got a legitimately fantastic start at launch but slowed down like shit over the last 1.5 years.

Fucking based.

>Megaman 11 is shit and you eat shit. X1 is the only decent Megaman game. It doesn't even come CLOSE to sonic.
Gross.

>Capcom doesn't deserve it
You seem to be thinking that Nintendo holds the power here and not Capcom. If ninty really had a problem with it they just wouldn't let Cap release these ports onto their system.
Sure, they don't have to do any more than that, but at the end of the day they want Capcom to put games on their system, as cheap as they are.

>RE 4, 0, and Remake on PS3: 20 bucks each
>RE 4, 0 and Remake on 360: 20 bucks each
>RE 4, 0 and Remake on Wii: 20 bucks each
>RE 4, 0, and Remake on PS4: 20 bucks each
>RE 4, 0, and Remake on Xbox One: 20 bucks each
>RE 4, 0, and Remake on Switch: 30 BUCKS EACH
Okay, there is no fucking way this was not out of spite. These games have been released on tons of systems and the Switch is the only one to have the prices marked up from 20. Capcom is treating the userbase like shit and milking the fuck out of them for some old games, not even giving them a physical release
..Did something go on between Capcom and Nintendo? Every game Capcom releases for it just seems like they're hesitant to put any games on it. Even stuff like Okami and Mega Man Legacy Collection were released almost a full year later after the other versions.

Attached: 1416805600157.jpg (3300x3140, 475K)

A lot of people have criticized them for blowing their load way too early but I think it was a necessary move. They needed a lot of hype and excitement after the failure of the Wii U, and while people (including me) will complain about the Switch being weaker than any of the other systems I really don't think trying to compete in terms of hardware strength would really work either.

Take world off there and then I'd see your point

Well games are games. Nintendo will allow anything on the system as evident by the eShop.

But you know its telling when they'll give spotlight to a Disney Shovelware minigame collection but cut Dragon's Dogma from the Direct.

I feel like it has to be a more recent thing given that MH only stopped being Nintendo exclusive recently.
I don't really think that Sony is priming the pump either considering that DMC5 was always shown at Microsoft events, not Sony.

Only one game is being released on a cart. There is no excuse. Its Capcom being greedy.

But only RE0 is getting a physical release.

I fear Capcom is done. This is all they've been advertising for years. They seemingly have nothing exciting left to announce for the time being. I don't even think Itsuno has enough energy for either Dragon's Dogma 2 or Rival Schools.

New Dead Rising game when?

MML is better than this kusoge

TJ Rotolo is back with Capcom so who knows.

>Wanting a new Dead Rising game after 4

Yea Forums will never get over MHW will they?

>This is all they've been advertising for years
Are you retarded. The first time we saw DMC5 was less than a year ago at E3 and while RE2make was announced in 2015 we didn't hear a fucking peep about it until E3 last year too.
MHW for its part was announced in E3 2017 and came out in 2018 and MM11 was announced in an anniversary stream in December of 2017 and launched in 2018.
Advertising for years my fucking ass.

Capcom Vancouver is defunct now, so I'm hoping that if they ever bring back/reboot DR it'll be made by their Japanese studies just like with the original game
Also IIRC all the bearded guys who made DR4 all left before the game was even released

>inafune leaves after sabotaging capcom

Capcom is back baybee! Now all that's left to complete the redemption arc is Dragon's Dogma 2.

Nobody defends this. What's even stranger is that PS4/Xbox One got a physical release for RE4. I own one

Judging by this topic they moved all their bullshit to their Switch development

read it again. Subject, not actual

Comparing a G-rank MH to a non G-rank game is unfair. Wait for the info which is next week

>He doesn't know

Attached: Screen Shot 2019-03-16 at 6.38.05 PM.png (1672x170, 41K)

I don't think its defendable, I just don't think many people actually care.

Can any other company today make the claim that they put out four excellent games within less than a year timespan between all of them that are of very excellent quality? I can't think of any.

>Judging by this topic they moved all their bullshit to their Switch development
I'll take 1 system getting shafted rather than everyone everywhere getting shafted.
No company is perfect, and I would argue that Capcom is still very imperfect, but they're current work gives me some shred of optimism for the future.

It's fucking RE4. Let it die.

why do people still beg for DD2? It's literally confirmed since Itsuno finished DMC5 and wanted to do DD2 after that

I hope to god he adds in the moon level

Lost Planet 4 when?

Attached: Lost-Planet-New.jpg (256x323, 28K)

Lots of companies, both AAA and indie, would kill to have even one of those a year, much less 4.

Only 1 of those games is good and it's DMC5

yes please. it can be like LP1 or LP2, I really don't care at this point.

Based.

Attached: boomerDante.jpg (1277x725, 390K)

each one has issues but its way better then what capcom was making before

nah, all of them are good to excellent

So which one is good?

In ascending order of quality:
>MM11
>MHW
>RE2make
>DMC5
They're all good though, even MM11

I think there needs to be more limelight on how fucking awful Capcom's Switch support is. Like, its 7th gen Capcom bad over there. It shows you that Crapcom is still in there, ready to seep over into the other systems whenever you let your guard down

Attached: buyoldgametogetnewgamegoy.png (471x416, 354K)

>way better then what capcom was making before
Not a particularly high bar to surpass.

Attached: Resident_Evil_6_box_artwork.png (250x290, 105K)

They made the series backwards compatible on XOne recently so hopefully someone in the company still cares. I'd be happy even if they simply ported the games to the current / next consoles.

>it'll be perfect for the switch

DMC5 can't run on Switch anyways.

They ported RE7 as a cloud game in Japan, the problem as always with Nintendo is that the effort needed to port games is higher than the potential profits.

>It's literally confirmed
It literally isn't. We got a cheeky most likely.

Where's my new Rival Schools at you fucks.

Attached: 69310444_p18.jpg (1400x1050, 153K)

Exactly. They're lying to get people to buy an old port.
Capcom already confirmed they're not doing anymore cloud games because surprise surprise, RE7 flopped on Switch.

Itsuno literally said he was given the choice to make either DMC5 or DD2 and he chose the former. You'd have to be willfully ignorant to not assume that the latter isn't coming, especially given that DMC5 released to universal praise from everyone.

I mean to be absolutely unbiased here, I can't see how anyone could argue that any of those games aren't at least of very high quality. Capcom is having an amazing few months here the likes I haven't seen in a long time.

I am glad Inafune saved Capcom by releasing MN9

Sure, but we probably won't see anything about it in 5 or 6 years.

I think it has a lot to do with polish. The most unpolished thing they have done recently was MHW PC port and that was mainly netcode issues due to server overload.
Everything else has been slick and functional, even the online for the Beat'em Up Bundle.

What's Inafune doing nowadays?

They can't know until they actually try, which they won't

Capcom still has a long road before returning to her golden age
>Dino Crisis 1 and 2 remaster
>Basara series to go west
>Viewtiful Joe remaster
>Godhand remaster and Godhand 2
>Deep Down
>new Darkstalker
>Lost Planet 2 HD without GFW
>new Onimusha

IIRC his company was bought by Level 5. I guess he's working on mobile games or something.

In Level 5 mobile hell.

Good, its what he deserves.

I mean these are great game but besides mega man feel really undercooked compared to previous entries
DMC5 lacks costumes, has lazy enviroments but its a great game but DMC3 had way better areas and tons of unlockables
RE2 has very little enemy variety and only has three locations cutting out stuff from the original. they did half assed classic costumes reusing parts of the default costume
and monster hunter has issues with events only being on certain days while previous games made it much easier to access
all are still good games but when looking back on the last golden age of capcom they are a lot shallower

3 killed the franchise. First two games were great so too bad they had to go ruin it with that shitty third game.

>4 remasters
lol your a FAAAAAAGGGG

>Colorful
>Varied
>Invoke a sense of high fantasy and adventure

I'm still mad.

>DMC3 had way better areas
It had way better looking areas. The actual design of the levels was pretty bad.

FUCKING WHEN CAPCOM? ?

Attached: 220px-VJbox.jpg (220x278, 37K)

I'll bite your shitty bait, It's spelled "Dearth" not "Dirth".

They already tried with 64, GC, Wii, WiiU and a bunch of ports on Switch. Third party games on Nintendo hardware sell comparatively less for more effort.

MHW and Megaman 11 were a huge mess though.

Sengoku Basara is dead outside of merchandise, and why would you want sequels to Clover games when the people involved no longer work there? It would end up like Okamiden.

>ports ports ports
No one wants old ports user

If you look at the handheld side of things it tells a different story.

>Third party games on Nintendo hardware sell comparatively less for more effort.

total mess

DMC3's missions were a mess of puzzles and backtracking. 5's might be bland to look at but at least it's functional.

MHW's events work like they always have on home consoles (only portable entries let you download them) and it's a way to push people to play on certain dates to maintain a stable online activity.

>not already quintuple dipping with DD on console, DA on console, pc port, gen 8 consoles, and the MMO

LP2 underperforming is what killed the series. 3 was just Inafune spitting on the IP's grave.

This.

All three Lost Planet games were added to xbone bc last month, which pretty much counts as a remaster treatment since they run better than before

Not even close, but I will always strive to improve because its just so much damn fun.

I would love for them to do a LP1 and 2 release on steam that uses steamworks and not GFWL, kinda like what Relic did with CoH 1

Did it even surpass GC sales yet? The point is that there's only 20ml~ Switch owners compared to 100ml of Xone/PS4, and that's not even counting PC.

I also find it hilarious that you didn't mention RE2make because anyone with some frontal lobe development could tell you that it is significantly harder than the original.

The dumbest thing about complaining about items making the game easy is that you are basically admitting to relying on them to progress.

God, what a lazy idea to spice up Mega Man’s core gameplay. That shit should be reserved for Robot Master weapons. Why is he Viewtiful Joe all of a sudden? Doesn’t he know that it didn’t work for Spyro?

>mfw so jealous of DMCfags being more than satisfied with the game they waited for
It's not fair, bros, why couldn't KH3 give us the same satisfaction? When is Square getting their redemption arc like Capcom? God I'm still pissed, fuck that shit company. FF7 remake is going to be a shit show.

Stop trying to force the rivalry Barry.

>17 year conclusion
>ends on sequel bait while heavily advertising a gacha
>forced happy endings for all at the detriment of the plot
>things just happen with no explanation or reason
>dropped plot points
>no FF characters despite them being important since KH1
>no stakes, most villains just become good guys
>constantly recapping the story throughout the game
>terrible worlds with nothing to offer that you explore for no reason
>most worlds are just gimmicky and soulless recaps
>13 year wait
>tons of bugs, cut content, visual errors, unreal 4 engine, reused bosses, a bunch of shitty remixes, final boss doesn’t even have a unique theme, messy loops and songs, you only hear the Scala theme for a few seconds, terrible box art, pointless extra playable characters, broken gameplay (Roxas, Ultima, Grandmagic, etc), shit story and forced unnatural dialogue, flashy zero substance combat, withholding content to release it as DLC, and overall a rushed experience
>less content than PS2, PSP, and DS games
>Fans and critics agree it didn’t live up to the hype
>Most outlets that wrote negative reviews didn’t give a score
>Foreign paid shills reviewing the game as perfect
>Even with the critic score being inflated on PS4 it’s at best a mediocre game
>Lowest user score out of any KH title released to date
>Critically reviewed lower than KH1, KH2, and BBS
>Reached lows of 78 critically and 6.9 user score
>Not a good KH game, let alone a good game

>Its a barry post

>Anyone who doesn't like KH3 is Barry
Face it, the game was mediocre at best and an unfathomable disappointment at worst.
