even though building is annoying, fortnite is still the more skill-oriented game. it would be trivial for fortnite to offer a no-building mode. it would be much less feasible for apex to drop the class system as that would make it a completely generic and humorless BR clone. it isn't just about dancing but the fact that fortnite doesn't take itself so seriously. it can have thanos, it can have shopping carts, it can have hamster balls and all that other randumb stuff that reminds you that video games are fun, while still allowing skillful players to shine.

Fortnite was good, but now it's shit
there's too high of a reliance on building in fortnite nowadays, pretty much every fight comes down to who can build faster, while building is the gayest aspect of fortnite
in addition to that, a lot of the newer fortnite updates are gay as shit, like the sword, ziplines, planes, etc. etc.
I'd say apex is definitely better than current day fortnite, and I think it's also slightly better than fortnite in its prime

Only problem I have with Apex is it's a very generic hero battle royale, paid streamers to gain it's popularity and is also made by EA. Meanwhile fortnite is bad for the exact reasons you said and also Ninja so

I believe fortnite is a better game even though I am an apex player myself. Only due to the fact that it’s difficult and annoying to build properly. All apex player secretly wish we can play fortnite easily and that’s why we hate it. But no one will admit it :)
