it didn't add or remove anything to PC gaming

it added casuals and normalfags

It removed all the good stuff that made PC gaming appealing and added bad stuff that makes PC gaming cancer.

examples?

such as?

Fuck man, I don't know. That's just what I was paid to put here, I don't actually play video games.

it removed nothing you autistic degenerate
just buy games from itch or gog or wherever you want
>b-but it doesnt have muh waifu bait
they wouldn't even be on pc without steam

>you do not own your games
>it requires its DRM to get through
>in the event of steam going down you will lose access to everything you've paid for
it sure didnt...

>>in the event of steam going down you will lose access to everything you've paid for
you won't though, you can burn them to a disc.

How so? It's just a store with a community element.

>>in the event of steam going down you will lose access to everything you've paid for
this isnt even true

thanks to DRM that is no longer true

Based. Praise Valveā„¢, lord Gaben take my money please!

he saved PC gaming, and he looked cute while doing it

steam already has an offline mode dummy. it would just be set to offline permanently if steam ever went down

Attached: steam11.gif (550x400, 211K)

Fuck off, chink.

And the games that rely on steamworks?

>steam goes offline
>play denuvo game
>after a week you can no longer play it

Attached: file.png (566x841, 38K)

None of my games so far require Denuvo so i'm good.

If you don't shop on GoG or Windows Store you're part of the problem

there are two kinds of steam users

users who there before TF2 became free and users who came afterwards

Good for you

But Valve doesn't implement Denuvo into games that decision is made by the publishers of those games.

obviously the achievements and steamworks features wont work if there are no steam servers, but the games still work without them

there would be a permanent offline mode that still allows network features. the current offline mode blocks all networking. also 3rd party DRM isnt the fault of Valve/Steam

GOG isnt any different than Steam. some devs just choose to use steam's DRM, but many dont

>Windows Store

And?

Haha Steam isn't DRM

GoG has no mandatory client for any of their games. It is the only truely DRM free storefront and they deserve more credit.

GoG has no DRM and doesn't spy on you or require you to have an account to buy games, you dumb steamtard.

Is this FPS even good? I will buy it only because I want to know why americans praise it so much

argued which is best
but series as a whole is good, big

you need a gog account to buy games
you need to access the site and login to download games
support.gog.com/hc/en-us/articles/212804065-Do-I-need-a-user-account-

For offline mode to work permanently you would have to have all your games installed at the same time on a single PC and then use that PC to eternity.

Not going to work

Attached: 1404602310879.jpg (625x626, 82K)

thats the same as GOG. you'd need all your games already downloaded.

Lmao nice

you can store gog installers on any medium and install them on any PC you want.

Steam only lets you install games when you are connected to Steam servers. Even if you make an offline backup it doesn't let you install it in offline mode.

i do? pretty sure i can download them on piratebay tho

if steam is the reason we have resurgence of japanese games on pc then its good in my book

No retard, twitch did that buy making normies want a PC. Everything is shit now. I hate my life. We need to rise up.

a steam game that's installed will still work if you copy the folder to a new PC. you dont need an installer or internet
