If someone blatantly ripped off Tribes movement and implemented it in a simple looking but serviceable unity clone then would it even sell? I feel like Tribes will never have a playerbase because the game fundamentally isnt attractive

Tribes died for Smite, not Paladins. Tribes was dead for five years before Paladins entered beta.

They killed Tribes on launch day with their idiotic monetization and the FUCKING PLASMA RIFLE.

Midair seemed decent, I played it when it came out. Did they ever touch the skiing and jet mechanics? Also does it run better now? For me it's also hard to get over how ugly it looks

I didn't try out Midair because they wanted $100 for early access in the timeframe where people were still looking for a tribes replacement. Not surprised everyone forgot about it

It was stuck in development hell for so long that I didn't even know it came out.

It came out like a year ago, and somehow the release killed any little interest in it that may have been there
