Before they make DLC they should fix the game. It's a solid 8/10 for me. It would be 9/10 if the physical codes in my area weren't broken & I actually got everything I paid for in the deluxe edition. Was pretty annoying to wait almost a week after release for my EBgames to fork over half fixed codes for only the skins. (Still don't have CavR or Alternate style & rank announcers. Even though their shown to be downloaded on my ps4). Luckily enough the game itself hold up to the point where I'm not salty about this (hopefully they fix this soon.) For the game to be 10/10 masterpiece with it's DLC it has to have at least 3 of the following checked off:

At one point some boss demon remarks that Nero 'doesn't have any demonic blood' in him or something yet he has a DT form later. Just sloppy Capcom writing or did it mean something? He's clearly part demon to me.

They wouldn't adapt the light novel, then there'd be no reason for them to have made it. Besides, I'm pretty sure Dante only brought Rebellion/E&I/Coyote A/OG Cerberus with him on that mission, which would be kind of boring compared to his endgame self in 5.

What it should be is an 8 Mission romp of Dante & Vergil in hell that features Vergil getting two new Devil Arms to replace Beowulf/Force Edge (maybe one is a greatsword and lets him do Nelo Angelo shit). It would end with Dante vs Vergil one more time, but you can choose which one you play as. Then the other one would be Trish & Lady going on Morrison's mission, and if you really want Lucia have the mission be on her island and reference Dante's visit before 5. That way you can give people who played 4SE at least one new character that is more conventional than V. That one can be 9 Missions split across the three of them (one for each just being a boss).

It has been a long time since 3 came out.

I played DMC3 for the first time relatively recently (2017) and Vergil gave me more trouble in that than in 5. I remember hitting my head against the wall of Vergil for 2 hours the first fight, 3 hours the second fight, then 3 hours the third fight without even winning before taking a long break and coming back with a completely different loadout and the only Gold Orb of my whole run. Vergil in 5 my first time was a challenge but once I learned how to avoid the jetplane attack and after what attacks he would be vulnerable he only took me 90 minutes or so, and without using a Gold Orb.

That said, I beat Vergil in 3 with Gunslinger, whereas in 5 I had access to Trickster and RG until I needed SM or GS for damage's sake.

Lady's purity made it into something more angelic. Artemis started as a gun rather than a demon, so the boss form of it is heavily based on Lady. Cavaliere Angelo uses lightning like Trish as well, and Gilgamesh is actually just a type of Underworld metal used to create the Gilgamesh weapon and separately the Gilgamesh boss in 5 (which is the metal mixed with Qliphoth roots).

Pretty much. The thing is that Dante gets more powerups over the course of the series. Vergil is better than Dante in 3 but Dante slowly catches up to him during that game. Then he gets a boost when he was made into Nelo Angelo. Then he got a second boost with the Qliphoth fruit. Dante's slowly gotten more powerful since 3 whereas Vergil just had those two instances, because he had a much rougher childhood of fending for himself with Yamato.

I always preferred the idea that the real reason Dante gets more powerful is because he embraces his human side, and that humans' unique trait is that they always improve, while demons remain "stationary" power-wise. Seems sufficiently Japanese. Also, Vergil gets Beowulf as a power up in 3 and starts using his DT but Dante still matches him. I mean, if human form Vergil beats Dante, then DT Vergil should still defeat DT Dante, and both of them are up exactly one weapon for the 2nd fight.

Vergil and Dante seem pretty damn equal They both have a sin DT now and no one was getting one over the other unless you count Vergil getting the first blow at the end of the boss fight. Nero broke up their fight before anyone killed each other. Apparently they'd both been winning a number of friendly duels in hell for weeks by the end of the game and dante possibly just got his score 1 higher than vergil's if Vergil is lying about Dante's ability to count.

I don't want the new characters to just retread the base game like DMC4SE. New missions built with the characters in mind that flesh out the story would be wonderful. Obviously they'd take more time and resources to make but it'd be worth it.

Some high-quality expansions that build on DMC5's already great base would be better than DMC6 in my opinion. With DMC6 they'll inevitably have to change a bunch of shit around in order to justify it being a new game, plus the complexity will be back at square one in order to account for any new players, etc etc.

What they mean is that Nero hasn't tapped into the demon in him yet, he hasn't unlocked DT.
Dante in 5 also talks about how Rebellion "unlocked the demonic power" in him when he was stabbed with it in 5.
So Nero is pretty much just human with the added strength and agility and durability of being half-demon, but he hasn't actually unlocked the demon power to it's full potential yet. In the gallery it's also stated that it was only because of Yamato in DMC4 that Nero was able to tap into devil trigger-esque powers besides his arm.

Just did it before first try. As always make sure that Nightmare isn't abused and primarily use him to revive both familiars. His lightning shocks aren't that fast so you can run sideways to avoid them but be aware that sometimes he can fire 3 in a single shot instead of 1. When he charges at V to attack with the sword then use Griffons air hike to avoid it. If he starts charging up then use your evasion moves to bring your familiars back to your side so that they don't get KO'd.

V and by extension Vergil knew Nero has demonic blood, but not that it's his very own.

I wonder how long it'll take before we get mods that can increase the enemy count so that we can have LDK mode in this game.

I think I was slightly distracted by the game's visuals. It's harder for me to gauge Vergil's attacks as well, the telegraphing seems less accentuated.

Any tips, guys? Should I get the camera closer? I distanced it a lot since I hated how close it was when I started playing.
