I grew up with and like the american SNES, but the EU/JP one is better. The thing that actually bothers me the most is them removing the colored face buttons, since many games still had reference to them even in the US.

This image doesn't even have the ps4 pro which is literally the ugliest console any of the big 3 have ever made. With the older consoles that people are saying look like trash, they were probably aesthetic as fuck for the time period they released but the ps4 pro is literally fucking horrible and it's like they didn't even bother to make a nice design they just took a regular ps4 and stuck another layer on top to accommodate for the bigger fan and shit.
As a point of reference the xbox one x (main competitor) is smaller, quieter, nearly 50% more powerful and uses a smaller power cable compared to the pro. If you think Sony didn't rush this console out you're in denial.

I dont mind the design but i have the ps4 pro and i always hear complaints that its loud but i was at a buddies this week playing his OG ps4 and holy shit... Literally sounds like a chainsaw in the room. My pro is near that loud

the ps4 pro has never seemed all that loud to me. you want an actually loud console, look no further than the dreamcast. you always knew a random encounter was coming in skies of arcadia when you started hearing the sound of a jet engine taking off coming out of the dreamcast.

in my experience it seems to differe based on what model you have
a friend of mine has a original launch PS4 model wich sounds like a passenger taking off, my current PS4 model (first 1tb model) doesnt make nearly as much sound
