Never played it, but I do like the narration quite a bit. Especially the part on fake challenge in video games.
>never played it
its 4$ on humble bundle right now with their latest indie bundle if you want to buy it
but it is very painful,so unless you ve got a strong will i recommend against getting it
Yeah I did many times fastest was like 10 minutes. I really like the game mechanics but the game itself is such a letdown, it couldn't have been hard to create a lot of different levels assembled out of assets with their own challenges and themes but nope instead we got a meme "experience". Umihara Kawase is much harder and better because it doesn't treat challenge like a throwaway gag and instead aims to be a fun game.
I'll get around to it sooner or later
i don't play fotm meme games
Yes you do you fucking Liar.
It's a really fun game, I only got to the pile of cardboard boxes though.
3 hours played, I plan to play more.
It's actually surprisingly fun.
I wouldn't mind playing an expansion with higher and more absurd terrain.
I certainly started it a few times though.
Umihara Kawase series is the closest you're gonna get, it's grappling hook based though but the idea of learning seemingly unwieldy and complicated physics is the same.
My first playthrough took about 23 hours even though I watched a let's-play of it. I really liked the game and the narrator.
>literal meme waste of time game
>did you finish it?
Finished it 50 times, really fun and rewarding game.
As much of a waste of time as any other game
Nah, I couldn't stand how sometimes you would randomly be able to launch yourself better than other times, it was annoyingly inconsistent, and the fact that the dev just admits to shit game design annoyed me too "I would randomly throw shit together and if it ludicrously hard, I couldn't bring myself to make it easier" something like that.
I checked out Sexy Hiking shortly after, and found a lot more enjoyment in that, since it was more consistent with movement.
Never even touched this piece of shit.
Bought it mainly as a joke but actually enjoyed it very much. Making my friends play and watch them rage was hilarious.
Finished it twice now. I'm done with the game but the purchase was worth it.
Which game in the series do you recommend? Only played the original for a bit.
watched a gdq run of it, does that count?
Shun
Sayonara is the easiest to get into because of its stage based structure and bosses that aren't garbage but all of them are fantastic
