Spare Squad are probably my favorite group of wingmen from an Ace Combat game. I love their irreverent attitude. Their various deaths would sometimes hit me harder than the one in AC5.

The amount of time we spend in Spare Squadron is a shame, you spend 5 missions as spare 15 then you become Strider 1 for the remainder of the game. I was hoping to be part of Spare for most of the game and work towards the squadron being turned into an official squad full of hot shots.

There was so much potential with that story-line and I feel they blew it.
