to eat all the force power to stay alive. then after that die i guess.

To job out like a bitch to a bunch of random Sith, Jedi, and non force users. Thanks Tortanic.

Nigga was just Force Galactus.

Nothing, he was a force of nature destined to devour the Force.

I feel like he deserves more than this feed thing tho.

Eat everything

Literally just to eat all force everywhere. Nihilus is just an animalistic desire to consume more and more force, hes mostly stopped being a person.

KOTOR 2 was so bad holy shit.

if was a pig who ate up tons of force how come he isn't fat?

Wrong.

If kotor 2 is bad then kotor 1 must be a literal disaster according to you

b8

b8

Nothing, and I mean that quite literally, he was going to keep devouring life until he himself became a black hole and all life was gone.

KOTOR 1 was an actual finished game with better characters and planets.

poor b8

>y-you have to judge the game based on how it was on release because im personally too lazy to install the RCM and replay 2

>better characters and planets.
Objectively incorrect

>better characters
no
>better planets
yes

KOTOR1 does have better planets. KOTOR2 rehashed dantooine and korriban, only to make them dead and empty. And peragus is far far worse than taris, which was an actual planet and pretty good.

"job out"

the fuck does that mean

Nar Shaddaa, Dxun, and Onderon more than made up for it.
And aside from a few characters, the majority of characters in Kotor 2 was much better, especially the villains.

It's a 'rasslin term. When a wrestler loses to another wrestler just to make the winner look powerful, they're jobbing.

>better characters
>literally none of them have meaningful development
>carth and bastila exist only to score relationship points with them in order to make them tell the player they love them
>jedis good
>sith bad
Yes, such nuanced characters. Malak was the only one who had potential for interesting character interaction considering the player's history with him, but in order to be simple as possible for dummies like you he became a mustache twirling villain.
>implying better planets
Taris and korriban are the only good ones. Manaan had potential until the undersea section. Literally none of the others are memorable.

>When a wrestler loses to another wrestler just to make the winner look powerful
so in other words, they're just following the script.

star wars noob here,

do films do a poor job of showing power levels of sith/jedi? when reading about this nigga, he sounds like a legit monster that's capable of devouring planets, but then I see list that place vader above him in terms of power/strength. however, vader looked like an absolute fuck boi in the older films. i'll credit that badass scene during rogue one, but I saw nothing that screamed 'yo, this nigga could body darth nihilus with ease'

are the books better for power display?

Attached: 1551481411393.png (250x250, 102K)

>Nar Shaddaa, Dxun, and Onderon more than made up for it.
"no"

Objectively, the released game without the RCM is bad. Subjectively, with the RCM, the game is better. Just because some randoms restored content years after release does not make up for the game on its release.

Please just stick to warhammer if all you care about is badass shit bro haha

it's power creep I think, back then being a good duelist and blocking blaster bolts with your hand was top tier power. now star wars media has people pulling star destroyers out of the sky and completely untrained rubes using mind control powers

>Objectively, the released game without the RCM is bad.
Nope. Even with its flaws its a step up in literally every way over 1.
>Just because some randoms restored content years after release does not make up for the game on its release.
As a matter of fact, yes it does.

Whatever list you checked is actually wrong. Nihilus is immensely more powerful than Vader, but that's more because the former willingly gave up his humanity for the power to feed on the Force while Vader is a shell of his former self (Anakin Skywalker).

>muh gatekeeping
fuck off bro haha

Extended universe turned jedi from Shaolin monks with slight super powers to a series of nearly omnipotent demigods,it's goofy

Being a lazy nigga that
does nothing but eat and sleep.

The Extended Universe was pretty much what Marvel's comics are; people are only as strong as the writers/artists decide they are.

It's a hot fucking shitty mess.

If you can explain why you deserve to be hand fed information ill feed you. But you can't, so fuck off and learn on your own lazy faggot.

i'm just trying to better understand the difference in power. it's brought up a lot, so I might as well learn what it means to be strong in the star wars universe.
I saw that shit from the game.. can't remember what it was called, but the protagonist was some younger guy doing unreal shit. I assumed it must've been a power creep issue.
it sounds like the older material is more enjoyable. I have nothing against marvel levels of power moves, but it's more interesting when set closer to reality.

>are the books better for power display?
yeah but its gets pretty silly. if you want to read about full retard power look up exar kun.

i'll give it a look. just received a kindle for christmas, so I might as well use it.

Getting cucked by his blind waifu

It was constantly writers trying to one up each other for how OP they can make a character. You had shit like Starkiller able to pull star destroyer out of orbit and more, to Force Galactus Nihilus being so damn OP the swtor writers retconned him so they can give that power to their Sith Emperor to make him seem top tier.

Zero calories, same great taste

be the baddest guy in the video game

So basically Darth Nihilus is a space whale that filter feeds on the midichlorians.

Hes more like a black hole. We dont use the M word around here.

Meesa?

>midichlorians

>Nope. Even with its flaws its a step up in literally every way over 1.
Did you read what I wrote? I didn't even mention KOTOR1 at all, however on that topic, I think KOTOR2 was better in terms of story, but I prefer KOTOR1 for planets and gameplay. I disliked KOTOR2 limiting your gameplay at the very start because you are a Jedi, there is no reason to put any points into blasters when you know you are getting a lightsaber in the next planet.

>As a matter of fact, yes it does.
Again, subjectively sure, but objectively, no. The base game was faulty from the start and thats not something you can sweep under the rug because of a mod.

Anyway, judging from your answers, I can tell you are about to start baiting or you are already baiting. I'm not going to discuss this any further with you. Obligatory, fuck off.

eu luke skywalker was also pretty hilariously op
he could kill like 6 people at once with his saber, heal himself, use telekenisis to knock over at-ats use force speed to move and attack at sanic levels, he literally 'abosorbs' canon blasts by an at-at and can deflect them, destroys battle droid by just hand waving, and then there's his mind track shit which is in its own universe of overpowered.

>I prefer KOTOR1 for planets and gameplay
same here. KOTOR2 has superior story and characters but the planets are better in KOTOR1. No planet in KOTOR2 tops Korriban.

The gameplay needed some changing. The combat specifically is just an afterthought because you’re blowing through everything in seconds by endgame.

also he learned how to teleport at some point

Nihilus wasn't even human at all in the end. He was a wound in the force. Just a sentient black hole that literally consumed planets to fill the void.

Yes, I did. You're the one who cant understand subtext.
>there is no reason to put any points into blasters when you know you are getting a lightsaber in the next planet.
Except blaster builds are insanely OP. Sounds a whole lot like you have extremely limited experience with the game.
>Again, subjectively sure, but objectively, no.
You're a literal fucking retard for believing anything about your opinion is objective.
>The base game was faulty from the start and thats not something you can sweep under the rug because of a mod.
It was still a better game than kotor 1 was, even without the RCM. Try to focus on whats convenient for you all you want, it wont change the fact that you're wrong. Spoilering your insults just proves you're rattled, you worthless cocksucker. While you're sucking dick you can go ahead and suck my cock, you ill informed, uneducated, uninformed waste of everyone's time. The best part of you clearly ran down your mother's leg.

S E E T H I N G

Consuming the Universe

>better characters and planets
Yeah, no. Kreia > KOTOR's entire cast.

to get a harem full of blind whores with huge dick sucking lips

>power levels
just don't

>gatekeeping
haha suck my dick bro

you realize midichlorians are just drawn to the inherent force power of the person right. you cant actually be dumb enough to think the midichlorians actually give people the force right?

Attached: e36.jpg (680x564, 43K)

>gatekeeping
you're using the term in a incorrect manner, ya nonce.

midichlorians will never make sense and will always be pointless

much like the prequels themselves

>much like the prequels themselves
except the prequels are a great concept executed poorly and TCW showed what could have been, though the prequels do have some redeeming features, no matter how scarce.

The prequels gave us good lore on pre Empire Star Wars. The Republic, CIS, make up of the droid army, etc. KOTOR2 took all these ideas and set them further in the past, which showed the ideas are good but just weren't implemented as well as they could have been in the movies.
Meanwhile Disney Star Wars is complete shit with nothing good about them, not even good games.

>he never tried to slide his dick in
I don't know but he was gay as fuck

Attached: 1490462129037.jpg (600x779, 72K)

what good is a hot pair of lips when you're hungry literally all the time and only planets rich in the Force can satisfy you

>every time you go in her room she's already kneeling

>Meanwhile Disney Star Wars is complete shit with nothing good about them, not even good games.
Disney's stuff is basically fan fiction, so fuck that. As far as games go, KOTOR 2's my favorite Star Wars related thing and it's a shame we'll never get the finished product, much like it's the case with games like VtM: Bloodlines, but I'm thankful to the dudes that worked on the Restored Content mod because it's as close as it gets.

>basically fan fiction
>as if to say the old EU wasn't also basically fanfiction but even less officially sanctioned than Disney Wars

My life for yours

Attached: 1500653886232.jpg (800x600, 69K)

KOTOR 1 and 2 are canon and I don't care what Disney's stance on it is.

yeah at least VTMB and KOTOR both have a lot of stuff restored by dedicated modders. Great games will have dedicated fans that will work on the games and play and discuss these games for years. Meanwhile no one cares about nuBattlefront except to bring up as a talking point for how bad lootbox shit is.

Aye, some of the most loyal fans I've seen and the fact that Bloodlines is going strong 10+ years after its original release just tells you how good the game is. Also, how the fuck did Dice manage to fuck up Battlefront? Literally all they had to do was take 2 and put it in their Frostbite engine and people would cream their pants over it, not to mention how much money they'd have made.

It feels like anything related to Star Wars is now doomed to suck. I really wish Disney would sell it.

revans canon at the least didnt he get shown in star wars rebels or some shit?

revan was butchered along with jedi exile in canon by TOR because bioware was mad that obsidian blew their shit out of the water with kotor 2

His spirit ALMOST showed up in the final season of Clone Wars together with the spirit of Darth Bane. But it was cut in the end

It is for sure and Disney has a lot more movies lined up from what I remember, so they'll hang on tight to it for some time. It's a shame what happened, but I just stick to the OT, TCW and games like Republic Commando, KOTOR 1 and 2 etc. and don't really care for the Disney stuff.

I think it was either deleted content or something like that, don't really remember, but it sucks we'll never get a good adaptation of Mandalorian wars.

aye

heres your bane bro

Attached: Darth_Bane_canon.png (500x640, 431K)

Looks like a nu-MK character.

I bet you're one of those fags, that thinks Morrigan from DA is a good character

What's wrong with Morrigan?

Oh hi, Mark

>the released game without the RCM is bad
>improved gameplay compared to its predecessor
>more content compared to its predecessor
>tons of QoL improvements compared to its predecessor
>objectively better dialogue and characters than its predecessor
>somehow the worse game
you just went full retard

>Nihilus is immensely more powerful than Vader
sounds like you didn't listen to Kreia

Who did?

she's a laughably badly written character

What makes you say that?

Maybe because the premise as you presented it could only work in films that were 1:1 rips of westerns and Kurosawa cinematography designed from the very storyboard to put unequal forces in even footing. Making a game, comic, or book where a Shaolin monk with some whacky slow telekinesis and ten second windup chokes and lighting takes on hundreds of special forces with spaceships and lasers would put them firmly into ridiculous territory almost no matter how you tried to spin it. At best you'd wind up with sci-fi Dark Souls.

>VTMB
Unofficial patches?

>KOTOR 1 was an actual finished game
what about that 1 planet that didn't make it in but still gets mentioned in the temple on Dantooine? Lots of cut content, too.

Attached: 1529587191570.jpg (600x841, 72K)

Which one?

Isn't Nihilus basically the most powerful force user in history and only the Exile could possibly stop him?
He destroyed whole planets just by getting near them and feeding.

her character and characterdevelopment

>My life for yours

Attached: My life for yours.jpg (700x716, 79K)

What about it? Be specific as you're just making broad generalizations.

"I'm just in it for my own personal gain"
"just sex, no feelings"
"always act so you get the biggest possible benefit"
"I'm berating the other party members, because I can't comprehend how other people can not think like me, lol what a bunch of sheep"
"I'm also berating you for being nice towards people other that aren't me"
"I'm also berating you for handling me with silk gloves, because I'm not a typical gurl! xD"
"I'm a stronk indipendent womyn that don't need no man(except for sex, lets have sex, cmon lets boink) and will never fall in love with anyone because love is fucking retarded, except when I become completely tame and fall in love with you protag for changing my worldview while not really challenging my worldview"

are all shit-tier character traits that everyone over the age of 11 can see coming from a mile ago

Now that's better.

I ate those planets
Visas best girl

KOTOR1's planets are better, this is just a fact.
What does KOTOR2 have?
>Korriban
Copied from the first game, cut off portion of it (Dreshdae settlement), made it far more dead and boring, added 1-2 tombs, removed all others
>Dantooine
Slightly modified version of the map from the first game, but again, more dead
>Nar Shaddaa
Poorly designed: due to field of view and how map is laid out, you always feel like you're traversing some warehouse, even though are actually walking outside, and is in the middle of a huge city.
>Peragus
Fucking annoying if you replay the game
>Malachor V
Ok, i guess, especially the academy, but only accessible in 1 mission at the end
>Dxun
Jungle shit is annoying. Mandalore camp is ok. Freddon Nadd tomb is good, but only accessible in 1 mission
>Onderon
Good, but should have been a regular hub and bigger. Only accessible in 2 missions
>Citadel station
I liked it, personally.
>Jedi Academy
Only accessible in 1 mission

Meanwhile, what got removed:
>Tatooine
>Manaan
>Kashyyyk
No more god-tier music and shanty town: youtube.com/watch?v=zVWBGZkPs2w
>Lehon
>Taris (could have made a ruinous map or something)

Attached: Kotorbox.jpg (220x305, 27K)

>Peragus
>fucking annoying if you replay the game
This is how I know you're full of shit.

>Tatooine
Empty desert, disguising the fact that it's actually a corridor
>Manaan
A corridor followed by an even more annoying underwater corridor
>Kashyyyk
Literally a corridor

>Korriban
>more dead than kotor 1
>Dantooine
>more dead than kotor 1
It's a game about the collapse of the light and dark sides of the force user, obviously the games hubs of light and dark are going to be dead.

devour our our

>a warren in a skyscraper city feeling claustrophobic is poor design

FUCKING DELETE THIS!

Probably just a tired discussion with only so many points and counter points that can be made
that or the matrix is breaking

>defending peragus
wow. bait

feels like deja vu I'm scared

If you don't know your way around Peragus on your second playthrough, then you're a moron. It's better than the opening KOTOR 1 and had thematic relevance, so I don't really see why you're bitching about it.

No the term applies more to getting their ass completely beaten and looking like a total chump themselves, getting no offense in at all etc.

>everything I don't understand is bait
kys yourself
You can run through Peragus in fifteen minutes on a replay. It's a far better introduction than the first game's.

[unintelligible whispering]

Attached: 1447868901022.jpg (919x1297, 578K)

Dxun wasn't great, and Nar Shaddaa is unfinished and half broken even with the restored content mod. Onderon is pretty good, you're right about that one, but otherwise Kotor 1 has far better planets and better environments/quests in general.
It's the writing and characters that are better in 2 (at least when finished with mods).

Not him but Peragus always feels like a slog for some reason. I don't know why but I'd much rather skip it than replay it again.

Well yes, but when the script makes you look like a weak ass chump, that'scalled jobbing

b8. peragus is so bad it has a skip peragus mod which is frequently recommended to people who play the game multiple times. stop samefagging.

Hey fellow Yea Forumsie

Make money and fuck sluts

I hated KOTOR 1's opening far more and didn't mind Peragus when I replayed the game last summer. The level where you fight Sion and have to do shit with your droid is the part I find a lot worse when it comes to 2.

Git gud.

>underage retard doesn't understand what a samefag is

You know quoting two unrelated posts and screeching "samefag" doesn't mean anything, right? Or you would, if you weren't completely new.

just stop being an obvious samefag

God, why are white girls so perfect? I bet she fucks black brothas only!

mad much

It's bleak, but it's intentionally bleak, and thematically it does an excellent job of setting up the rest of the game. There's a lot more detail than most people realise, the problem is that most people played it for the first time when they were used to the incredibly shallow character building of the first game and so didn't take any of the skills you need to get the optional dialogues.

It will feel more of a slog if you're forcing yourself to go through absolutely everything and you don't enjoy it - personally, I enjoy the atmosphere, but if you want to rush through it you can complete it really quickly and you don't miss out on that much.
The Restored Content Mod does help because its changes to loot distribution means you're almost guaranteed to pick up two or three good items before Telos.

Thanks for demonstrating that not only do you not know what a samefag is, you're a completely clueless retard.

Attached: 1550600486474.jpg (560x510, 106K)

Been forever since I played Kotor2. Feel like re-playing it but forget the meta with feats and shit. What's a good light-saber focused combat build?

Attached: kotor2.jpg (1680x1050, 772K)

samefag

max speed + max flurry + dual wielding + auras = oneshotting most things.

Succ the force

Guardian > Weapon Master or Marauder. Combat-focused classes are important because you get the best lightsaber forms.Take all the lightsaber feats and Master Speed; all of the attack feats are great but I prefer Power Attack because I think it frontloads its benefit and by the end of the game you're so powerful it doesn't really matter which you choose. Pick Strength or Dexterity to focus on, don't neglect your Wisdom if you play as a male; and you get so many feats as a Guardian if you have a decent Intelligence you can just take the Class Skill feat for any extra skills you want to increase.

Good luck user, enjoy the game!

Why does it always feel like my player character is 20x stronger than any party member, despite effectively having the same stats at them?

>dual wielding

Go watch clone wars you fucking mongoloid plebeians

To be fair, i prefer the single saber jedi aesthetically. But don't you get better results in kotor2 from dual wielding? Double the crystals/upgrades.

You do, but the game is piss easy anyway, even on the hardest difficulty.

>blocks your path

Attached: Vrook.jpg (250x357, 13K)

Maybe. It's most useful for characters who get a bigger benefit from the extra crystal slots in the extra lightsaber, for attribute bonuses and the like. The extra attack is nice, but it requires you to spend the materials to upgrade your extra saber - all the 'bonus' attacks you get from Master Speed/forms/flurry all use your main-hand weapon, and even a single-saber user will be making 3/4/5 attacks a round already, so an extra attack becomes less important.

Dark side Bastila makes my pp feel funny

just finished my jedi jesus guardian/watchmen pure neutral heavy armor run. jedi with armor are so aesthetic

Vrook's voice acting was kino.
>You... you must be stopped!
You can hear the desperation in his voice, it's one giant symbol for the rest of the jedi in the galaxy who try to stop the sith but just straight up can't. Like on Katarr. And he knows that.

The game in general had great voice acting.

Different classes, feats and powers?

Migger?

kotor was retarded and this guy was just another dbz power up in a universe that already had way too much dbz shit.
they did the same thing again with the rakata who have been mercifully ignored by other writers

God how I miss manaan

I enjoyed the underwater section. It was like something from a horror movie

>the prequels holding any significance

It gave me the spooks when I first played it. The selkath shrieks were haunting

The gameplay/character biulding in these games is fucking terrible, the worst shit ever.

The republic ship full of sith assassins and Darth Sion was spooky too

Dxun was the shit, but overall 1 had better plantets than 2. Korriban, Kashyyk, hell even Taris was better than telos, it actually felt like a big city with people in it. Characters in 2 were better though

The sith assassins were very spooky. Until fucking Dxun were the framerates drops to 2fps and it slows down to a crawl

why did the smith agree to work under a literal monster?

we're not going to get Star Wars games period at this point, except maybe an attempt or 2 at another lootbox multiplayer only shooter again.

does the force permit the Jedi to get involved in a war?

he's a big guy

Jedi are meant for war, the history of the series' universe only solidifies that. Everytime you get the Council trying to say they're not supposed to get involved in conflict they're just trying to shun their true natures.
