WHY ARE UPPERCUTS NONPUNISHABLE NOW?

WHY IS SKARLET SUCH A GARBAGE CHARACTER?

STRESS TEST FOR SURE HOLY SHIT THIS GAME IS NOT PLAYING GOOD.

This is the worst ranking ever. 9 and X are really the only MKs that hold up. 1, 2, and 3 (all versions) are the only others that are even decent.

MK9 had the most soul of the series. It was basically everything good about Mortal kombat. It was by far the best game of the series.

It's not so much that it was bad, just an incredibly bland follow up to the best game in the series. Everything is brown and ugly, all the new characters are shit except like 3 of them, the story got worse and didnt really follow MK4's story because they needed to shoehorn in the kombat kids, animations and character designs are generally worse, etc

The aesthetics of umk3 was a major downgrade compared to mk2. The gameplay was alright but the meta of umk3 devolved into human smoke, ermac, and kabal.

Janky gameplay, Konquest sucked, relied on gimmick modes because the core fighting was bad, shit fatalities.

Mkt on the n64 had the best sub-zero. He had classic and unmasked sub zero movies. Too bad everything sucked compared to the ps1 version. Both games are bad mugen mash up of mk1-3 with no gameplay balance.
