Nearly everything about it is shit. Godawful in combat, annoying voice, stupid verbal tic, has to pipe in every single conversation, has to constantly talk shit about Lann (which Reynn does too as but at least she sort of has the excuse of sibling rivalry, even though she takes it too far way too often), makes awful jokes of the same caliber that it berates Lann for, it's basically the Rotom-dex except with voice acting and insults the player.
With just Lann and Reynn the dynamic would have been 1 funnyman saying dumb shit and 1 straightwoman correcting him/yelling at him for being dumb. Instead they decided to muck up the flow by having the 2 straight characters expand eachothers' banter into the ground and go too far in attacking the funnyman.
The few times where the game doesn't use this shitty dynamic are when Lann and Serafie are both playing the funnyman and evening it back out, like when Lann was ordering eggs off of Serafie's imaginary menu. If Tama was relegated to only talking in skits that also had Serafie the game would have had much better dialogues everywhere.

Nah they're all trash besides behemoth. Revenge blast does 10x more damage than basically every other move in the game if you're low health and you get to use it twice a turn. I was disappointed as hell once I found out because even the final bosses only last 3 turns max

No, they're mostly all shit besides behemonster. Behemonster only escapes being shit through revenge blast. Bahamut is sometimes useful for the "do a shitload of damage in one hit" imprism requirements. That's about it, the rest are pretty much only there for flavor.

This is what deters me. It looks like a fan interpretation of a Turn Based JRPG and that makes it visually unappealing. For fuck's sake even the Victory Poses the characters do feel half-hearted and lacking. Compare Lann's in the air victory fist to the excitement that Barret in FF7 does when he throws his fist in the air because the party won the battle and that's a PS1 model with no facial expressions. Basically it feels and looks and is animated in a sterile kind of way and that's my main complaint with this "Return FF to JRPG Turn Based Formula" it's done in the laziest most sterile of ways. Play Dragon Quest if you want a JRPG that still takes that seriously. World of Final Fantasy isn't going to be the game that does this.
