Not having trouble with difficulty, I've played through P4 like 3ish times. got about halfway through on a borrowed copy on PS2. Beat it on PS3. Walked through with my friend on PS3. Played through it on VIta. all on expert.
It's been a few years, but I remember complaining way to much about the game. I love P3, but there's an atmosphere and tone in P4 I want to love, but I always think of how much I dislike the dungeon crawl, or stressing about maxing social links. I don't think P4 ever meshed with me as a chill game.

I know this is a Persona thread, but I just got Digital Devil Saga 1 and Nocturne in the mail. Played about three hours of each and immediately grabbed Digital Devil Saga 2, Persona 3 FES, and Persona 4. Should be here mid next week and I am super god damn excited.

Not comfy enough, though. If only the town was bigger and there were more reasons to actually walk through it, it'd be Shenmue levels of comfy.
The areas are very tiny and the fast travel is way too convenient.

Thanks. I've heard that about DDS so I figured it would be my starting point then I would move onto Nocturne and then finally tackle Persona 3 and 4. If 5 hasn't come out for Switch (Don't have a PS4) by the time I am done with those then I'll probably emulate some of the other games.

Play Nocturne first.

I just couldn't get into this one, which I thought was strange considering that I really enjoyed Persona 3 and even played through it multiple times. I think it might've come down to the fact that I enjoyed climbing Tarturus and the dungeons didn't really give me that same feeling.

Tartarus is shit.
It's SLs are shit.
The plot is shit and it barely picks up near the tail end of it.

P4 dungeons are just reskined tartarus with doors. But yeah, Tartarus felt special and more threatening

Strega is a joke and Ikutsuki is really underdeveloped so his betrayal means little.

P3 clicks more with me than P4.
P4 feels like an obvious direction to continue the P4 formula. and P5 feels like a refinement of P4. But again, they don't gel with me like P3.
