now that it's out and the dust has yet to settle what do we think

It's certainly not as bad as destiny 2 was to destiny 1, but it's still missing a lot of good things the division 1 implemented over the course of it's life.
dark zone is also totally ruined, don't know what the fuck they were thinking with the changes.

I played the open beta, and looking for loot chests scattered around the area was a lot more rewarding than "go into X store and make sure to open 3-4 chests"

That's really all I have to add. Division 1 was a bait and switch after I got hyped off the teaser, not falling for it again.

lots of qol changes like ease of menu navigation, which proves this was indev pretty much immediately after division 1 launched. Balancing was changed for first run, but higher difficulties still give enemy bosses obscene amounts of HP, to a point it goes from fun and challenging to just a boring slog where you're waiting for the enemy boss to pop their weak spot so you can empty a mag into it, then hide for another 30 seconds.

dark zone looting was just fucked. There's so many things wrong with it I can't even begin to get into it. I'd recommend checking out the reddit or youtube vids on it. There's plenty.

the biggest fucking issue, is the changed hub, there's now 0 way to interact with people unless you know them out of the game.

They give them a lot of armor, not HP. All the bosses have tiny amounts of HP. they are just covered in fuck loads of thick armor. Which is realistic enough, because if someone was really covered in that much armor, you aren't doing shit in real life with your fucking .45 acp.

I think Division 2 might unironically be the best looking game on the market at this moment. Not as a matter of opinion, but as a fact.

Kind of sad they downsize the screenshots though. I want my full 4-5MB screenies.

yer crazy.. theres so much crap all over the place and every little last thing is ridiculously detailed.. can't imagine how much effort they put into making it look this good.. Idk wtf other AAA companies are doing with their money but it's definitely not game development

The streams and trailer I've seen had berets, hardhats and fireman caps so they might have full outfits too, but I don't know when those drop

The game just has so much attention to detail on it all over the place. It's just fun to explore it and look for shit on top of playing.

I loved playing the division 1 solo when it came out. I’m expecting the same experience pretty much?

Got into Division 1 last year and had a blast but I pretty much never aknowledged the game until I saw it on sale for >20$
Nowhere near interested in buying the 2nd one because I ain't paying a hundred canadian monopoly bills just for a game probably developped in my country. That's like encouraging them to up games prices. I don't care how big of a development this game represent, anybody encouraging this price-range is retarded. I'll probably wait till it goes on sale in 2-3 years and I'll have a blast then.

I wish game devs took notes. Even Div1 still looks better than most games from this year.

I really hate the color pallete, and I think there's a bit too much clutter, but it is a good looking game

I haven't played Division 1 and was thinking of getting this but the people I usually vidya with are both stuck on Apex. I'm guessing it's doable solo or am I gonna get stuck at bullet spongy bosses or something?

It's pretty good but I'm level 4 and it's already getting boring.

Gameplay wise it's not comparable, but there is a lot of content in the game it seems. I'm genuinely surprised at how good the level design is as well.

That's not a gameplay loop, that's just gameplay. A gameplay loop is the higher concept of kill > loot > upgrade > unlock higher content > kill > loot etc.

PC's can have hard drive corruption, at least they have in the past. I think a guy from Funhaus mentioned that. Can't find an article online though

There have been some reports of disk thrashing on low spec PCs, but I'm not willng to call it a thing yet. It's abusing the fuck out of some hard drives out there for ramlets.
