I don't like seeing them rehashed that much visually. Furthermore I think making them new weapons would give them incentive to actually try a bit with new moves. Imagine one gauntlet being based on Shadow with a long-rage pierce, and the other being based on Griffon with electrical shockwave attacks.

Every single Devil Arm that Dante has in 5 has a unique system (balrog mode, cerberus charges, cavaliere's gears, DSD's sword formations etc). It would be nice for Vergil to have this kind of depth in his weapons.

Older/younger twin brother is a very japanese concept. Japs love their hierarchy. Even if you have a twin sibling the one that came out first is treated as the older and more responsible.

That's not what I mean, Vergil won't get summons. His moveset will just be inspired by Shadow/Griffon/Nightmare. Example he can do an arc of red lightning with the cane, or extend it like shadow to pierce someone.

The others look fine, I think the issue with Vergil is he had some very sharp facial features in 3 and his hair further emphatized that, so have him to be that puffy in 5 is very dissonating

Vergil using a cane would mean he was actually changed by his time as a V. He was already more leaning to the magic side than Dante who only got his magic swords in DMC5, give him a playstyle of a melee mage to boot.

I would like to see him playable in his own campaign that takes place in hell with Dante when the game ends. 6 missions in total. 1st mission is a friend sparring match with Dante which also works as a tutorial. Co-op can be implemented here in a similar fashion to the missions in the base game. Vergil becomes playable in the main campaign and bloody palace after completion.

I haven't fought him on DMD yet, but all that comes to mind are his jet attack, which I doubt he'd have as a playable character, unless it was just like a stinger type move for his Sin DT, he has a helm breaker with Yamato now and he had a combo I don't remember him having in other games in his Sin DT form.

Wish fulfilment: A seperate campaign with just Dante and Vergil bonding and reflecting why they fight each other. 10 Missions total and unlocks the ability to play any character in any mission.

Realistic: Only Bloody Palance while you get to play Vergil there as a paid DLC in a future patch. Cmon Itsuno you can exceed our expectations one more time.

I like Nero as a character but Dante is way more fun to play as.

I love it, but I've recently noticed I've become overreliant on using summoned swords to cover for the speed of my weapon switching so I'm going to bench that and use Balrog for a few days to get back used to dive rose or dive sm kicks.

I feel like they should give Trish Alastor. She is the character most associated with DMC1 and she does need a replacement for Sparda.

It basically forces you to trickster warp all the time and he has very few options for good starter combo potential

Balrog is the only good devil arm he has casue it normal attacks stagger enemies and do good damage when ignited and doesn't knock everything the fuck away unless you want it to with the input moves.

Cavalier is great and similar to balrog but slow and leaves you open to much

King cerberus has the same issue as Dantes swords and just send shit flying and forcing you to play cat and mouse all around the arena.

Nero is so much more effective in this game when it comes to combo potential.
Hell even V is better than Dante when it comes to combos casue his shadows all have multi hitting moves that build your rank meter effectivly and allows you to keep going

You use fists to charge ignition and get a combo going, then transition that combo into kicks until you get your target airborne where you can switch to another weapon and juggle them around.

If that's the first fight, it makes sense, but remember it will average fights throughout for your final rating. It depends on how long you hold SSS, not hitting SSS. S is around 4.2k in my experience. Making fights last as long as possible while holding SSS is the best way to eek out style points. Test it on SOS Mission 10 with Dante and make the fight with the queen last forever using just basic combos and holding SSS and you can get 6.5k+ style that alone.

Tried removing the stubble from a screenshot of that mod. I think the mod can work without the stubble. Go back and look at that Vergil render from DMC3. This mod looks exactly like that but aged as fuck.

I just hope they really rework Lady if she's going to be playable again. The only fun thing about her in 4 was the huge damage she did, otherwise she was just Dante reduced to just Gunslinger. Obviously she's going to have a moveset built around guns, but I don't think that means she has to just be Gunslinger Dante, some attempt to have her be distinct from Dante while emphasizing that she uses guns would be really appreciated.

After looking at his original look a bit more, the eyebrows are accurate. It's the brow specifically that doesn't work. His old brow is very sharp and defined, his new one is softer and rounded. So the eye brows no longer match properly.

What the hell makes you think Cavaliere Angelo is Alastor? Because he is not. If you're talking about Dante's line "I know who you are," he's talking about Trish.

They seem to break the DMC rules with the camera, so always keeping them in your sights and saving them for last has been the best bet for dealing with them I've found. Keep an eye on them while you combo everything else or they're going to slash you from a mile away.

I always keep a Ragtime handy for these. You can just use Ice Age with Dante and trivialize them that way.

I know thats why i said its his best weapon easily.
It effective as fuck for keeping enemies lockdown in front of dante without blowing them across the map and saftly going from air to ground combos before you finsh them off or switch weapons in the middle of balrog.

It's not his "best" it's just one of his better ones if you're having problems with things like weapon switching enemy step, and style switching. Dante has a near unlimited amount of options once he gets in the air and you can keep enemies up there in sword master alone
