Holy fuck DMD really doesn't not fuck around with you does it? I managed to get through SOS only dying like twice before M19 and even then I never even got close against normal enemies but the DMD prologue just slaps you around like it's nothing. I basically never used the break age moves in DH or SOS but it's an absolute requirement in DMD just to get through some of the normal fights. This shit is such an absolute blast why the fuck wasn't it the normal difficulty.

It rushes you at far closer ranges it used to run at even on SoS. It also uses all of its shit during the last 1/4th or so of its life in DT where as I think it would limit itself so projectiles galore.

I actually got to see what that flying shit did in the center of the screen and im just glad I was latching onto its ass trying to slash it as hard as I could to save my ass because it looked like a instant kill.

I started to hate V on SoS on mission 9 where it took forever to kill nobodies/proto angelos. I hate him now and im on DMD mission 8 and when I get to 9 ill be using the camera to try and nightmare cheese meter build the whole time.

Alright since there’s a clone Dante out there Mundus made like how Gilver, how would he honestly look like? And what type of personality would he have? I mean, if he couldn’t find Vergil after all these years, and couldn’t even find him during 3, what was the point of Mundus doing this? Is Mundus that stupid?

Anyone else think Devil Breakers don't really become fun until your second or third playthrough?

They're a resource you're obviously supposed to use when appropriate but when you start out it's so overwhelming with all the different moves and also the fact that you haven't gotten the max carrying capacity yet. It's very hard to not want to play it safe.

I'm on DMD now and have only recently started getting more comfortable with using Breakers quite often. It's a fun idea and fits Nero's reckless play style but man it's hard to get over that initial fear of spending them.

Use Gerbera and charge shot it a lot for damage well its running then grapple and wail on it for days well paying attention to its shit.

I beat it first try but came close to death. I only really survived because I got some health back because you get some for knocking it down in the center. Gilgamesh was also crazy as fuck its last phase is a projectile hell of delayed bombs and mixups to try and bait you to get greedy on its back.

The other factor is red orbs.

I didn't want to use them my first playthrough because I was trying to save my red orbs. In fact, I would go into each mission without any equipped so I could collect the ones I found in mission to keep.

beat the game in devil hunter but I can't pull of good combos

I dunno but I barely even noticed the differences for the first three bosses.
They seemed more aggressive but aside from that it felt barely any different

Skip all the unnecessary fights which basically means just fight the familiars. Even then you'll probably have to no damage it.

I got fucked by Nidhogg on SOS M5 with v so hard I actually tried switching to kbm instead and it makes a world of difference for him. All the other characters feel clunky and heavy to play with kbm but V feels so natural in the setting. Like doing certain moves becomes way easier and even basic attacking becomes way easier too.

What does destroying the bridge in V's first mission even do? It's not required and you can jump right over the root to skip wasting time on the cutscene. All I can see is it blocks you from going back if you for some reason wanted to.

I barely even noticed that because the boss generally is a visual clusterfuck for me. During the boss my brain went into a sorta afk mode and I proceeded to wail on that thing until it was dead. Only thing I noticed was that it attacked a lot more often
Goliath on the other hand seemed to attack way fucking faster because before I remember being able to get a fuckload of hits between his swings without an issue
Artemis didn't feel any different though this could be because I almost never touched the ground and abused Nero's insane amount of aerial movement options while wailing on her until she was dead

Well, currently M13 is both the only reasonable way to play online with people, and also the only mission that's playable with all three characters, has nothing but a few rooms of fights i.e. a pseudo-BP. So of course people are gonna crowd around there. And when the total cost of upgrades is in the millions, and on top there are two infinite red orb sinks, plenty are going to be farming, too.
It'll be better once BP is out and all of us can run that to play for the sake of playing.

Try doing it with DSD equipped and gunslinger mode, spam the neutral gunslinger attack, it puts hats on everyone, the swords autoattack and farm orbs, then press x/square at the right time to get the extra attach in for even more orbs, repeat.

It's a great fight but its also just hold down RG to win

I need help. How do you reliably dodge when fighting groups of enemies? Since dodging relies on lock on for whatever reason, and it's a toss up whether the lock on actually locks on to the enemy you want, half the time I dodge the wrong way because of lock on fuck up or don't dodge at all.

As Dante I just punch them with balrog till it stuns them and then real impact them to death. Balrog seems to have unique property in fist mode that when you deal enough jabs to enemy, it's guaranteed stagger.

It actually has a lot to do with it. The shape of your face is directly connected to the way your face also moves. With high-detail motion capture the shape of the actors face will also impact the 3D model itself. Pic related for example. For the best mo-cap you need a 3D face that lines up well with actors face, ideally it's the face of the actors themselves; that gets you the best mo-cap.

Hold down the DT button until you see your DT bar glow. Release to cause a damaging explosion.
The longer you hold it the more bars glow, the more damage you do and the more DT you use up.
At full charge it deals insanely high damage, capable of oneshotting weak enemies and in DMD it becomes your main tool for dealing damage

charge your devil trigger to do an AOE. The best strat for DMD is to get everything low at once, then DTE them and kill everything at the same time so that they don't DT.

As Dante, I use SDT and plan for the fights and use the super grab move to one shot them. If you have multiple mobs in the room you can also hit SSS early into a fight too to maintain it for the style points by using the AOE lazers. They're the only things in the game I feel like I just can't get the hang of, and every time I think I have the timing down on their attacks they throw in another juke and fuck me up.

what i do is punch on swings with a low chance of accidentally bustering, like the final swing of roulette spin, streak, calibur, etc.

its actually super useful with streak because if you punch at the right time, it prevents the enemy from getting knocked back.

also foreverially hold gun to charge unless you are using tomboy, rebind recommended

What do the blood clots in M18 do, exactly? I tried getting all 3 and I don't think I noticed a difference. Is it that it reduces the jump points for Nightmare to heal?

Don't treat it as such. It's a momentum stopper and will allow you to continue your combos for a long time and do even crazier shit because it stop momentum from your attacks on enemies. If you treat it as exceed 2 and try to do it with every attack you're just going to fuck up. You might not want to stop momentum on certain attacks and maybe sometimes you do, it's best to use it only when you want to do some longer combo and play efficiently instead of just mashing about and trying to treat it as a 2nd exceed.

The standard, I put my gun on my left button/L1.

Additionally, I also mapped my breakaway to my d-pad and put the DT on the square to prevent those accidental breakaways from switching from Dante/V. Copied it from Pat/Woolie's LP and it does me well.

Is Get More Orbs worth the early investment or should I wait until the end to grab it?

First off don't even bother with buster punches as they are mainly intended as an advanced combowank tool. More precisely they have the property of killing all momentum from an enemy, meaning that an attack that would usually launch enemies in a direction will instead just keep them still
Second, use Buster Snatch instead as it's the superior one thanks to it being capable of snatching two enemies at once in DT
Third, regular Buster is really fucking weak compared to the three-fucking-thousand damage powerhouse that is its breaker brother. Only use it for aerial grabs to squeeze out some more Style or against annoying enemies

I mapped gun to R2, DT to square, Devil buster to L1, and break away to the D-pad.

I waited till near the end. Its just quality of life.

"Get More Orbs" is a misnomer. It just increases your range to get the orbs, not outright increase your gains.

Whatever the shockwave upgrade is. Land, jump, swords go bye bye. Rainstorm's good too, but I usually have Balrog equipped anyway so simply landing and jumping is preferable to stance switching on the fly for me
