Never forget that Todd Howard and Bethesda legitimately created the plague that is DLC when they released Oblivion on Xbox 360. Their first released DLC was shitty horse armor that was purely cosmetic and added no actual armor to your horse. Many gamers at that time speculated that it could become a problem that would cause developers to get lazy and release half finished games or intentionally leave out quests and storylines just to be able to sell them at launch or at a later date as DLC to boost their overall profits. That sadly came to be exactly what they did and continue to do with DLC.

I just wanted to do it because it was fun and I was passionate about the project and wanted to share my work. I appreciated seeing my work out there but I didn't want to deal with them on a day to day basis. That's why you hire custom service or community manager reps.

That's retarded. As someone that works for a game company, we actually support mods because it shows the passion of the community. Yes they shout obscenities and bomb us with negative reviews whenever we release a content update, but the mod creators passionately work on making their mods compatible again. We believe the hate and review bombs are preferrable to having a ridiculous iron hand that doesn't allow for players to shair their passions with the community.

If they don't care about what we think, why should we care about what they think?

H3VR isn't trash. Its a pretty fun game and he updates it every week. Its one of the few early access games worth the money
