Why do we hate yooka-laylee again?
Why do we hate yooka-laylee again?
they made a spiritual successor to tooie instead of kazooie
Not sure, I mean it didn't quite live up to the hype, but I replayed it a week or two ago and it was honestly better than I remembered.
SJW coward devs
Yea Forums is filled with JonTron fanboys
Absolutely forgettable and boring desu
Hate is a strong word though
It's just not fun
because the physical switch copy is sold out
Tooie was only popular at the time because it's large open world was quite unique. Trying to remake tooie instead of kazooie was fucking retarded.
because the gameplay is ancient
It is an unfinished game and it took design notes from the worst aspects of Tooie.
typical overproduced, but still garbage looking industry garbage made by uninspired, untalented developers.
It is literally like playing a retro 3d platformer. It really is not much different then playing spyro or Jax and daxter. I think that a lot of Yea Forums has romanticized collect-a-thon games because because they feel like they have to like them because they are old and at one time where popular
the animations feel a bit stiff. The physics don't feel particularly weighty. The aethestic is trying to hard to ride that "remember banjo" to the point that it detracts from its own identity a bit. It's not bad, just bland
the only collectathon that Yea Forums likes is that spongebob game.
Everything else is "garbage" or "was never good"
what does that even mean? Remaking tooie instead of kazooie? if we're going just from world size then the rationale behind fewer larger worlds comes down to lower total asset requirement and less time spent doing concept art
Developers misunderstood the successes of the games they were trying to copy.
It was slandered by retarded youtubers who don't even like collecting things.
This. I'm one of them.
Kazooie is about quick bursts of gameplay while tooie is much slower.
I think you miss understand the success of those games. They where popular because there was nothing like them at the time and Mario 64 was such a hit, everyone was trying to copy it.
You only like them now because of nostalgia.
Yooka-laylee is exactly like those old collectathons, it's just that all those games have always kinda sucked.
I went back and tried playing Banjo Kazooie and it's fucking dogshit.
Boomers realised how shit their games actually were
>You only like them now because of nostalgia.
Not an argument
>Yooka-laylee is exactly like those old collectathons
Not even close
He is right you know...
How old where you in 1996? I actually lived it while you where shitting your pants.
