The way i read it is this. The forerunners devolved humans to the way they are now after they lost the war. The composer was made to turn these unevolved humans into robots. The librarian planned for humans to eventually return to their potential, but the didact got loose and the librarian advanced John to the point where the composer couldn't fuck with him, because he's not the unevolved human it was programmed for, since she realized he was one of the major parts of humans reclaiming their glory and him dying would just fuck it all back up. That's just my theory.

It's like the Rogue One of Halo. It's vastly different, down to what kind of story it tells and how, but very good in it's own right. Whereas Halo 1-3 tell the story of Master Chief (and Star Wars tells the story of the Skywalkers), Reach tells the story of Reach, and not particularly the story of Noble Team; they're more supporting characters. This was always annoying for me, spartans are supposed to be the equivalent to an elite or maybe even stronger but in halo 4 and 5 you see spartan 4s killing like 20 elites at a time making them look lile complete idiots

SII augs make their movement speed so fast that it literally snaps their bones in half unless they've got titanium reinforcements shoved in. Do Elites naturally come with metal in their skeletons? SIIs are specifically designed to move faster than what organic material will permit. They canonically live and move in 24/7 bullet time.

What is the secret/glitch anyone wasted the most time on?

For me it was like 4-3 hours into the night trying to do the undead scarab glitch (Ark level, use Sputnik skull, get a ghost explode it to mount it)
When I finally got on the scarab I forgot to mount the turret and got thrown off.

It's pretty sad how encountering one elite (in universe) was a life or death scenario and now they're just lumbering dipshits.

Brutes are physically superior to elites and much easier to persuade. Elites ask too many questions.

It's canon that elite combat suits enhance elite strength and speed but I was always under the impression that it's shit in comparison to MJOLNIR just like how elite shields are shit in comparison to MJOLNIR. So while Zealot/Arbiter suits might be good enough to start roughly approximating MJOLNIR, the rank and file get bullshit and are basically just wearing portable shield generators.
