A friend of mine had her as a villager and absolutely hated her. So obviously as soon as she moved out of their town she moved into mine.
It feels like I was supposed to hate her out of solidarity with my friend but I really can't. She's pretty happy to be around. Also, I hadn't realized until a couple days ago that frog villagers don't use umbrellas in the rain and happily sing instead.
It was a pleasant surprise and I'm honestly curious to ask my friend what he hated about her.

I've recently been playing the Gamecube original and New Leaf, and yeah there's certain strengths and weaknesses. I just can't see them going back on being able to see the sky though. It doesn't add too much, but the atmosphere is nice even if you barely use it. There's something about being able to look up at the stars on a comfy night.
There's something about the top down view that just feels more rigid and mechanical to me. Only being able to see the world from one angle just reminds me that I'm playing a video game. That's fine though, I like that it's still unique compared to the other games and that it still stands on it's own two feet as a game you can still come back to for a unique Animal Crossing experience.

I mean, honestly they could leave both camera systems in and let you choose whichever one you feel comfortable with. They don't really change any game mechanics. They were both implemented to get around system limitations of the N64 and the DS and we're way past the limitations of those systems.
Man, I really shouldn't have thought of an Animal Crossing that lets you pick between free camera, log and top down. I want it so bad but it's not going to happen.
