found your problem
That's almost 20 years old, man.
I unironically use ePSXe and Project64 to casually play Gen5 games, and they were always serviceable. It just werks.
I don't understand the mednafen and mupen memes.
>I don't understand the mednafen and mupen memes.
They are for people that don't emulate casually duh
Bazinga
bazoogie
ZIMBABWE
Whats the right emulator to use for psx and n64? Is it best to use dolphin fOr n64? I have retroarch but it honestly gives mea headache every time i try to use it yeah maybe i am a brainlet but theres something about it that i hate
So you guys emulate... formally?
Mednafen and Mupen64
BAZOOPERS
>ZSNES bug in project64
this made my day, serves them right for bundling malware with it that their program is vulnerable to malware itself
Just use dolphin for Select n64 games.
Virtual console versions work perfectly.
Indore the Gray X its just games i haven't made a save file for.
Thats what the game icon is based on.
Forgot pick.
i only just moved away from epsxe cause of pgxp
i was drinking and legit spilled juice all over my dsk looking at this
its so stupid that its actually funny
Mednafen PSX (HW) and Mupen64Plus
m64p.github.io
>tfw he made download exclusives to Patreon supporters
Doesn't matter to me, I already had it downloaded before he went full jew mode
Simple: Performance
It’s not even 15 years old yet
Isn't this just a GUI for mupen64plus? And some random guy is trying to charge people for it? What a fag. If I knew all the features his software had I'd write a free knockoff version just to fuck him over
No, hardcore.
>tfw 15 years is already 30 years
AAAAAAAAHGGGGG
Why does anyone want to play this old clunky boomer garbage anyway? Videogames only started to become playable from 2005 when the 360 launched.
Why does it open calculator?
to show that Project64 has a vulnerability that allows for arbitrary code execution
It's an arbitrary code execution exploit. The ROM has some code that when PJ64 tries to interpret causes execution to jump to a location in the ROM file that doesn't contain N64 code, rather x86 Windows code that opens the calculator. It's a proof of concept so it only opens the calculator but if you wanted to you could plant malware inside it that is run when the ROM is opened
How do you make an emulator, anyway?
Zoomer genocide when?
you try to guess what code they wrote on the inside of the mainframe and keep guessing until you get it right
Running an .exe is arbitrary code execution.
post more of these cringy memes
They're opening a rom file to do that. Emulators are hosted on numerous legitimate free sites since they are perfectly legal. It shows someone could post a megaupload, say it's something like a cancelled Pokemon RPG for N64 and quickly infect a lot of people with malware.
mupen64 is better
>say it's something like a cancelled Pokemon RPG for N64 and quickly infect a lot of people with malware.
Sounds legit
Let's be honest here, people trying to run a shady rom like that would also run a shady exe.
They're running a ROM.
It's the equivalent of allowing websites to parse '; DROP TABLE
>It shows someone could post a megaupload, say it's something like a cancelled Pokemon RPG for N64 and quickly infect a lot of people with malware.
maybe don't download cancelled pokemon rpgs?
but still, improving security in emulator is 100% a waste of time
hey guys, you should try this cool game i found. really spooky!
rapidshare.com/43575647/lostboy.exe
It's actually easier, now that emuparadise is kill you could reupload that shit on a torrent or some ddl website. You slap few lines into a random ROM, a legit one, and before they bust you you're already running a botnet
Wtf my penis grew
>improving security in emulator is 100% a waste of time
Improving security in any application is never a waste of time, and this thing is never stressed enough.
EU now requires developers to perform state of the art security measures, which mean that if some shit happens because your program/website/app allowed an exploit, and a tribunal commisioned commision decides you're an idiot that could've prevented this, you're in deep shit.
I dont get why people shit on this emulator, all games works but are slightly buggy
>EU now requires developers to perform state of the art security measures, which mean that if some shit happens because your program/website/app allowed an exploit, and a tribunal commisioned commision decides you're an idiot that could've prevented this, you're in deep shit.
not if it's an open source emulator developed by neckbeards in their based.
and even than, the blame would go to the person who wrote the actual exploit, not the emulator
it's LITERALLY 100% waste of time
>EU
And in NK you're not allowed to use the internet, that doesn't mean it's relevant to the civilized world.
>Project 64 1.6
damn they still haven't released 1.7 yet? I remember hearing they would do that 12 years ago.
>emuparadise is kill
>he doesn't know
kek
Where do you guys get toms from now
I use royalroms
emuparadise
>not if it's an open source emulator
Doesn't matter, you're distributing SW, you have responsabilities
> the blame would go to the person who wrote the actual exploit
You don't write an exploit, you abuse an exploit. This can be compared to a bank leaving the doors open at night and no guards. They're, legally speaking, partially at fault
It's like a website that doesn't perform end to end encryption when transferring usr and psw.
When you distribute easly exploitable software you're partially at fault.
Also you're forgetting that programming is a never ending dick measuring contest, any respectable programmer loves security shit. I've never met a collegue that didn't tried the hardest to encapsule and encrypt his shit, and if somebody allows for basic leaks to happen, he's an awful programmer and doesn't deserve your time
>Let's ignore the biggest market on the planet, we're americans fuck yeah
>WTF why did our revenue halved?
>you're distributing SW
no, you are distributing source code. and technically it's github that is distributing it. but most importantly, you don't distribute it in anyway, you just keep it in your repository
>You don't write an exploit, you abuse an exploit.
you write exploit, you abuse vulnerabilities
t. cyber security student
>Also you're forgetting that programming is a never ending dick measuring contest, any respectable programmer loves security shit.
for emulation is who can make the most accurate and fast emulator, not a secure one
The forum is ass, though. I tried looking for RE3 rom but all the links were either dead or hosted on limited speed website. In the end I had to download from some random indian(?) website.
google emuparadise script
2.3.2 is the latest version.
Or just use a better site.
>you abuse an exploit by accidentally writing a program with one
No one deliberately writes ACE vulns into their programs, the emulator devs aren't at fault here
snes and saturn emulation still suck btw
You are 100% wrong on both
I've always been more of a PSXfin kinda guy
And after all this years it's still a piece of shit emulator
There's any functional N64 emulator out there where you don't need to change plugins and settings for each goddamn game?
only if you're a zsnes/yabause pleb
Yeah Project64
Maybe you should try getting some good plugins
I agree that ePSXe can run on a toaster and that's really cool but Project64 is a fucking joke, so many glitches, inaccuracies and incompatibilities that I should say it's on a unstable phase
Good look trying to play Resident Evil 2 on Project64, especially on Jabo
What are the best plugins then?
Angrylion RDP Plus for graphics.
That's really all you need. You won't be upscaling resolution any time soon since it's pixel perfect, but there's emphasis on the 'perfect'.
>Mupen 64 is GUI bullshit
>use the best frontend available for it
>it doesn't save my fucking inputs
>can't figure out how to edit the controls in the spaghetti config file
>try a different frontend
>it looks like fucking garbage
>games run at 10FPS
>try retroarch
>mupen core runs at 10FPS and the image looks fucking shit
>fix the graphics, no changes in the FPS
Yeah, fuck you all. I'm going back to my botnet PJ64 emulator
Same with epsxe, the latest version is genuinely good
Here is your award for this low quality bait
Whats the appeal of Big Bang Theory anyway? Do people actually find that show funny? I saw some episodes and I just couldnt see it.
whats the best ps1 emulator aside from mednafen and epsxe
You lied to me
?
I did no such thing. Are you even using the right plugin?
t. illiterate console user
GORGONZOLA
Thanks bro
Because retards don't check ROMs hash.
>memes
It isn't a meme if they're objectively better.
>i may have microstutters, undrawn layers, unsynced audio, and input delay, but it's objectively superior!
In terms of accuracy it is.
Reread that
DON'T PANIC
Its "poorly coded" you uncultured swine
Some people are interested in emulating games other than Mario 64 and MGS.
>Girls born after 2001 can do porn
When I was younger I thought I would love this
Now that the time is here all I feel is time slipping away.
What's the point of living last age 21?
