Gook san we don't have enough content for this game

That would be 1 with all the insta-kill traps. 2 is pretty fair and might even be broken with stealth kills
>slow as fuck so you have to spend hours in a small area
>you die in 3 hits and if you even breath loudly 10 zombies come swarming at you.
>Each takes 4 hits to kill
This. I dropped the game really quick. It’s just not fun or interesting enough to even have the desire to git gud. It’s just a frustrating generic zombie game.
Stealth takes 1 hit to kill and the AI is pretty shit at detecting you. Just get the perk that lets you walk faster while crouched and you can easily beat an area without firing a bullet
Oh man, is it that hard ?
I bought 1 and 2 because I saw kino visuals from 2 but I hate horror games.
It's not hard its just Yea Forums being shit at video games again.
2 can be rough, but the stealth is broken. The ability to hit enemies around a corner and the one to break grabs with a bottle is vital.
You can also kill enemies before they wake up, making their traps easy to avoid.
I watched some gameplay of this and it looked like it played exactly like a janky copy of The Last of Us
TEW1 is hard. Play it on normal difficulty. TEW2 is hard at first, but gets super easy later, so play it on Nightmare or whatever the hard difficulty is called.
it even has the father daughter thing going for it, i liked tlou and tew2 though so maybe i am biased
tew2 is easier than 1 by a fucking mile
I never beat akumu mode
Nightmare mode is nightmare enough for me
1 was very easy, specially once you figure out that you will never run out of resources cause of the dynamic loot system, I just started 2 and the beginning at least is much harder, the enemies feel like much more of a threat, but I’m curious to see how the difficulty will progress
>Kill everything with knife
>unfair
This franchise is the most boring blend of other better games. RE2 coming back and kicking ass just highlights it all the more.
>glass zombie
>stab in face for instakill
woah
This thread reminded me to go listen again to the epic trailer remix song.
>a game set in a dream like world where every location is different, enemies are varied and represent parts of antagonist's mind and thoughts, weapons and the protagonist is stylized to appear like a character from a western
vs
>a series set in generic locations (except RE1 and the station segments in RE2) with generic zombies and generic weapons
>hurr durr TEW1 is boring!!1
>shit excuses for not gittin gud
>generic
Do you have other buzzwords and actual arguments buddy?
I thought it was way too easy, far easier than the first. The fact that once you clear out an area there are no more enemies essentially ever makes the game a cakewalk.
There were only one or two segments that were hard for me, but it's because it's extremely easy to cheese it out by just aggroing one enemy at a time.
You said the game's boring, that not an argument, it's just your opinion
Yes. "boring"
>broken with stealth kills
True.
By the final bossfight I was loaded with ammo and slime for upgrades because I rarely fired my weapon.
It's only difficult if you are a brainlet caveman who's base reaction is to shoot everything in sight.
>several people calling it too hard
Wut!? I thought the game was ridiculously easy, especially after you get more weapons/skills. I still remember the threads on release people complaining about how easy it is too. There's also difficulties, so just set it to easy if your having a hard time.
>>a game set in a dream like world where every location is different, enemies are varied and represent parts of antagonist's mind and thoughts, weapons and the protagonist is stylized to appear like a character from a western
And yet, utterly forgettable in execution. If it gets a 3rd game, it will be even worse, and that boring protagonist will be changed yet again to grasp at some resonance with audiences.
RE2 has a half dozen memorable characters. If RE strikes you as "generic" maybe that's because it's the OG zombie survival horror game everyone remembers and cares about.
it is unfairly hard on nightmare though. RE2 is fairly hard on hardcore. This garbage wasn't even tested.
I feel like TEW2 could have been so much more than what we were given...
>RE2 has a half dozen memorable characters.
It's because of nostalgia. They are not memorable, unless you played those game back then.
>it is unfairly hard on nightmare though
I say again, Yea Forums being shit at video games.
Dream World is a cool idea, and it worked well with the 'Artist' boss.
But when you have so many things work randomly and other things work just like the real world it feels no logical consistency or rules.. Mirrors are teleporters but all guns work like real guns and require bullets. Why not dream up some more bullets? None of it feels dreamlike enough or real enough. Bloodbourne did dreamlike much better.
Its too bad too, because the section of the game where you're scavenging that little open world town, moving from house to house is probably better than most of RE2.
Not even true. They're an excellent blend of straight faced camp and familiar, grounded archetypes. There's a reason RE blew up and Alone in the Dark never could, and Evil Within never will.
It was too fucking easy to me compared to the first. Akumu is the only challenge.
>unlimited free health refills
>most enemies can be stealth killed
>stealth is more forgiving than Jesus Christ
>ridiculous surplus of supplies as long as you don't shoot at everything and miss
>massive reduction of enemy-wave battles since the first game
>map tells you where everything is
>you can retreat to safe rooms at any time
>there's an easy difficulty setting if all the above is still too much for you
>"Unfairly hard."
Never change, Yea Forums.
>They try to play with his trauma for the umpteenth time
>He goes nuclear
I doubt I'm going to try it, but it looks doable in TEW2. I refuse to even consider trying it in TEW1.
Lol that's not dreamlike what you've shown, that's just some fantasy world. I hate dream levels that lack any subtlety, they don't feel dreamlike at all. TEW does it better by making the world look real, but there's this underlying eerie feeling that you get through the way characters speak and the weird shit that is happening, that wouldn't make sense in real world. It makes you question whether it's how the real world of this game works, or if it's just a dream.
I think LSD Dream Simulator is similar to The Evil Within in this aspect: youtu.be
>tew2
>hard
>lacking in content
what am I reading
>I hate dream levels that lack any subtlety, they don't feel dreamlike at all.
>subtle
Yeah sure lol. Evil Within doesn't have a fraction of the narrative intrigue or creative spirit of Bloodborne.
get gud faggot
easiest survival around on hardcore. Don't know about akumu
I was talking about TEW1
The first game even on Akumu is more fair than 2, at least in the first game I can slow down enemies, I can trip them, I can stun them and there are plenty of options for instakilling enemies.
In case of 2 it's literally just hit it until it dies beacuse you can't stop them in any way by aiming at specific body parts and then the "hard"mode making enemies bullet sponges was just laughable.
Anyone prefering 2 over 1 is either a genuine brainlet or massive casual.
