Is there anywhere to buy this?
Freespace is also great
Pretty sure its free now, abandonware
Sometimes can be bullshit hard, but overall it's great overlooked shooter.
Independence War II
Good taste, OP.
If you like lovecraftian climate and point'n'click games, I suggest you checking this out.
holy shit that brings me back
The best western jrpg.
I got that, sacrifice, and deus ex as a kid. But anachronox disc was faulty :'(
If you like Tribes lore, mech combat, a killer soundtrack, and mark hamill. Its also free now.
>The best western jrpg.
that's not barkley, anachronox is the 2nd best one though
not just good squad-based TBS, but also pinnacle of 2D graphics
Not digital, or at least I don't think so. There should be still hard copies on market, because it was released in some gaming magazines.
Or you can just pirate it.
Oh yes, this and Earth 2150. Shame E2150 never went open source, so no one fixed issues engine gives whan running on modern hardware.
Pretty good persona themed vn.
The translation for this was fucking awful. I still have no ideia what the plot was about
>Freelancer
>lesser known
Someone get Pastaspace in here
EUUUGH WHATCHA GOT?
Bloody great survival horror
Is this an underappreciated old games thread? Decent cheap Splinter Cell clone here that flew under the radar. As an added bonus you get to play as a legit MILF.
Totally loved it. It's like HoMM with citybuilding and city capturing removed, instead focused fully on battles, exploring and questing. There are no monster generators, instead creatures avaliable for purchase are randomized within race, and vast majority of them in limited quantity. Enemy non-quest heroes are also randomnized at start of new game, and so are non-quest items.
Best game you guys never played
Mind virus is the basic idea.
Literally opened the thread to post this exact game, good job user
If you like cRPGs you better play some stuff from Spiderweb Software.
What could have been?
I still have to play this shit. Saw some reviews, looks pretty nice, except for the fact I know it ends on a cliffhanger.
*btfo Monster Hunter*
About 1 buck in a pawn/charity/thrift shop.
look at all that information covering more than half of the back of the box verses a modern box cover
I was going to post this as well. I really enjoy this series, I hope they make a third one. Of course I also love MH.
Is this a real cover? The back looks like it’s a bad fanmade cover from DeviantArt or something.
>lesser known
literally the most famous space sim, and the only reason people looked twice at SC
wanted to love it, but i can't stand those 1st person, click to walk three feet style adventures
i played this about a year ago right after you are empty. the frost/fire effects in this were so comfy but the environments got pretty boring by the end. also that final boss was kind of gay and i had to google what to do
good game though would recommend
Played this gem a few months ago, one of the finest games I’ve played
That webm reminds me of Rune, which I came here to post.
What game is that exactly?
I would also like to mention Sheep Raider or Sheep Dog 'n' Wolf for being the best Looney Tunes game on the PlayStation.
I like Freespace, but X-Wing is still the top dog for space flight games for me.
severance: blade of darkness
>Recommend lesser known gems to anons
you mean older
they were both excellent shit, new Rune is in development
demon/dark souls is severancelike
I wish I could play this but the controls are so peculiar
>freelancer is considered lesser known now
Why? These zoomer twats wouldn't be able to appreciate it.
that one was cool, I totally forgot it existed
simlite kino, easy to play and lots of content and usermade content
Thanks for the source.
>new Rune is in development
Amazing thing to happen after almost twenty years.
I'll check it out.
Why are all these games boomer shit?
they dont make good games anymore
zoomers have no memory
My niggas.
cuz all the games became shit the moment you developed a consciousness
Great replay value, and great story as well.
Silent Storm if you like turn based strategy and want something with a bit more granularity and options as compared by more recent offerings like neo XCOM. Full environmental destruction, bullet physics, action point economy, line of sight based reactions, etc. Easily one of the best turn based strat games I've ever played.
Go play The Settlers 2-4.
