Not true. There are a select few anime games that are actually pretty good or at least decent especially from the PS2 era, meanwhile i literally cannot think of even ONE videogame movie that is more than a 5/10 at best.

The main issue with anime games is you would generally get the newer or less skilled/in demand dev teams working on them or they'd be pumped out quick for easy profit, but the market was so fucking saturated in the mid/late 2000s with anime games that at least some of them had to turn out good. I'm not necessarily saying videogame movies could eventually be good if there were more of them, but the amount of videogames based on anime absolutely dwarfs the amount of movies based on videogames.

It deserves to be lower.

It's a mix.

World looks amazing, but combat feels sluggish.
No indicators above enemy heads to show when to dodge or block.
You move rather slowly, so when enemy mook backs off to shoot with a gun instead of swording you, you have to do what the game journos did and spam the ranged attack. Your dash/dodge does not cover enough ground to close the distance.
Played with controller (will try keyboard+mouse later) and the highly hyped gum gum rocketing feels awkward to control with control stick. You need to aim high at the trees or building edges and the range on the thing is short. Most of the time you can't "grapple" straight to the top like Luffy normally would. You have to climb up segments.
Also you cant grapple up natural rockcliffs.

The world look amazing though.
