The story went 120% retard after the big reveal that outside the wall, humanity still exists as normal and it's just 1930s~ era Earth. Now there's a political drama going on that makes no sense, all the interesting or endearing characters are dead or sidined, and nobody acts or in a lot of cases even fucking looks remotely similar to how they did before the timeskip. It has a dedicated base of autists worshipping it as perfect because it "subverted expectations" on Yea Forums because to them that's all you need for a story to be objectively good. Nothing has to make sense as long as somebody reading it gets mad.
