Looking forward to it, halo custom games will always hold a special place in my heart, and reach's attack & defend mode was fun with friends

heretic!

Excited but worried. It seems way too good to be true and MS has a habit of fucking everything up.

Is that your favorite Elite model? I've never gotten a good look at them in-game.

Friendly reminder that 343 has made Master Chief a Forerunner rapebaby and it is going to be revealed in Halo Infinite that the Didact is actually Chief's "father". Confirmed when Chief meets the Warden in Halo 5.

I want split-screen on the pc and crossplay

It seems likely that split screen is on the chopping block. Game companies seem to think no one cares about split screen any more, and this is Microsoft, who have a history of happily making decisions for its userbase..

>Bungie employees ate a shit ton of pizza during Halo 3's development
>MCC for PC gets announced
>343i now knows what it feels like to have too much pizza

They literally announced that splitscreen will be available for Infinite, though.

>Game companies seem to think no one cares about split screen any more
That's a crock of shit. Why put dev time into split screen when it forces people who want to play with friend to not only buy another copy of the game, but buy another whole console? It's all about money, and they failed. That's why we're getting halo on pc, something they said would never happen.

Great but why the fuck aren't we getting a release date?

We had this thread 1k times since the announcement...

But bretty excited desu.

I've only played 1, 2 Reach and ODST

>We had this thread 1k times since the announcement...
Oh God forbid we approach 1% of the number of Smash threads there were for nearly two fucking years.

Kudos to the Outward dev team for including splitscreen. I'd buy it to show support if I had anyone to play with.

like pottery it rhymes

Do we know if it'll have split screen? I really kinda wanna play with a controller too but I know I'll get raped by KB+M

Oh, also I'm sorry you just missed that get

The pc version will have controller support but i dont know about split-screen

>hundreds of threads about Halo have pretty much all hit limit with constant praise, hype, and happiness
>HURR DURR WHAT DO YOU THINK GUISE??????

Only thing i'm concerned about is the price. If it's more than 20 bucks per game I'm out

Otherwise I'm hype AF

>I really kinda wanna play with a controller too but I know I'll get raped by KB+M
I know that feel. Hopefully adapting to KB/M won't be too arduous.

I like the Halo 3 models, but with Reach feet and the lack of hunch like 2's.

KB/M feels better. I dont understand why you would ever use controller for a PC FPS

I suppose it can be hard to shake a bad habit. I played Halo religiously throughout my early teens, but my friend convinced me to get Steam once TF2 went F2P and I've never looked back. Playing with a KB/M seriously ruined console shooters for me, the only shooter I can stomach playing is Splatoon of all things.

I'm not really one for shooters. Halo was an exception because I played it splitscreen whenever I was visiting friends.

I'm actually worried about how mice will impact the weapon balance

For example, Bloom on the DMR in Reach was obviously problematic. Rather then making it so that you were encouraged to pace shots, thereby rewaring patient, accurate fire, the high amount of bullet magentiusm meant that spamming shots as fast as possible tended to be more effective. However, the solution the TU did, just making bloom lesser, wasn't a good solution: It effectively buffed the DMR (and Magnum, IIRC) by making them less inaccurate at medium and long range, which made weapons like the Focus rifle worse in comparsion, as well as the AR, which in reach is less an up close CQC spray weapon and more a close-mid range precison automatic

To make matters worse, on PC, when using a mouse, precision weapons are going to be even better since people will be able to instantly snap and track targets, unlike on console, so the DMR, magnum, etc are going to be even better, and even before the TU the DMR was still the best gun in the game, let alone after, let alone once people are using mice. We really, REALLY will need a buff for the focus rifle and AR, and maybe a fire rate reduction on the DMR in order to prevent Reach from being as bad as Halo 2 was with the BR being the only gun worth using, and on that note, perhaps adjustiments for the other games as well: On PC, players can be precise, so there's really no reason to have this stupid amount of random spread on automatics, we can make them have low spread and no bullet magnetism so they actually reward accuracy and can hit shit past 5 feet.

Am I wrong? Thoughts, opinions, etc appreciated.

any release info yet?

Not yet. We'll probably get something on Sunday during the event that day.

I was worrying about the same thing earlier today. Also, keep in mind that that the needle rifle has zero bloom in the TU and is automatic. It was a pain when I was playing on console this evening, so I can only imagine how bad it'll be with M+KB. At least Invasion will likely be vanilla settings.

Never got to play any Halo since I never owned a MS console, I'm excited
