>Psyops bros

Fuck yes, loved this shit

WITH MY MIIIIIIIIIND
WITH MY MIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNDDD

Damn I forgot about this game. I remember being a kid and thinking the physics were the coolest shit ever

I prefered second sight

I'd rather they just reboot it. The story was absolute horseshit. Can't believe some guy wasted a court's time trying to sue Midway for allegedly stealing the script from him.

>Can't believe some guy wasted a court's time trying to sue Midway for allegedly stealing the script from him.
they bought the IP's in bulk, you dolt.

The point, you fucking retard, is that it's ridiculous that anyone would want to take to take a case about the plot being stolen when said plot was literally one of the worst written things ever. Fuck off you dipshit.

>The point, you fucking retard, is that it's ridiculous that anyone would want to take to take a case about the plot
you have no idea how company absorptions work. they buy it it wholesale to secure any potential good IP's, and if it's above value then it works out both ways. they either write it off as goodwill and/or get to revive a potential cashcow eventually, regardless of the current FV.

>The story was absolute horseshit.
The story was nonexistent from what I remember.

That has nothing to do with the fact that some retard tried to sue because he supposedly wrote the fucking script and wanted compensation for a shitty script that nobody in their right mind would try to claim is theirs. Goddamn, you are beyond illiterate and stupid.

It was there, in pieces, incredibly poor pieces.
>Black dude was best buds with the MC
>Supposedly the psychics were treated poorly by the regularfags of the world
>Something about moon technically
>Oh, and the government was going to kill the MC after he finished his mission
It's just a diarrhea blast of plot points.

>Goddamn, you are beyond illiterate and stupid.
you are a fucking idiot.

Says the retard who is clearly ignoring my point that some delusional nobody tried to sue for an allegedly stolen script when said script was dogshit and not worth trying to collect money on.
Goddamn, get out of here you retarded newfag.

Both had great gameplay, though Second Sight certainly had the superior plot and characters.

I can remember enjoying this game.

That's the point though, it was all hints and scraps and pieces and you're just waiting for something to happen to let you make sense of any of it and then the game goes TO BE CONTINUED ACTUALLY SEQUEL'S CANCELLED BYE

Just with less jank and better shootybang.

It's been over 20 years and still no sequel. The only thing to look forward to is Black Mesa Source, and that's just a remake.

Still doesn't excuse the poor pacing, plotholes, and overall general lack of direction. A plot about mystery and intrigue can certainly work, if done correctly. But the game just felt like a bunch of unrelated pieces dumped together and loosely strung into a narrative rather than having any proper flow to it.

I wasn't trying to excuse any of it.
I was the guy who said the game didn't have a story.

15, actually. Though 12 if you count Episode 2 being the last point. Shame though, given the story was heading for some interesting territory with Eli's death and the fact that Aperture Science was indeed tied to the HL universe.

I know it was about to get one for PS3 before the earthquake, but it really sucks there's just nothing else like it. I still have a bit of hope the reformed dev team gets the rights to make it someday, but I know they're busy with a bunch of projects.

I know it did have a sequel, but from what I understand, that was just a corridor shooter that dropped the whole capturing crooks angle, and none of the Robocop-like humor.
