I'm trying it out now. Works flawlessly in 1920x1080 with the 1.41 fan patch. The patch also allows you to skip the tutorial if you wish.

Personally I think 1 is where the creature AI and (to this day) awesome technology is, whereas 2 is better as a comfy builder game with gimmicks however they removed a lot of awesome tech and vastly dumbed down the creature.

Microsoft owned lionhead studio before it got the axe so I would assume they do? I was replaying B&W2 recently and I really wish they had kept up with the series. Would probably be a mobile game if they brought it back today

I discovered an issue with patch 1.20, but it's easily fixed. Installing 1.20 removed most of the game's music, strangely. But go back into the ISO and simply copypaste the audio folder into the install folder. Fixed.

Molyneux released Godus but that thing was shit and a carpal tunnel simulator.
From Dust is a nice little mini nature themed god game.
Most indie vidya channels on youtube usually showcase these types of games.

I always loved the 2nd island. You had that big open field to build a large town on - also there were some side quests and stuff to do but mostly you could just mess around and gradually expand. Later islands became too plot/quest heavy IMHO.
I always found the 2nd game kinda soulless in comparison to the original.
