Capcom was expecting RE2 to flop, they didn't make any DLC for it except for Ghost Survivors. When 7 came out, they said we'd be getting a Zoe DLC and a Chris DLC and a DLC with another Baker family member. Capcom only said we'd be getting Ghost Survivors for 2. They've likely already moved onto making another game.

Neither of capcoms early releases will be considered.
It is rare for an early year release to be considered for an actual GOTY. Publishers push games they want early so they can be a part of last years numbers. Usually this is done with games they have little faith in.

Because you're replaying the same shit over and over because autism of because you're a trophy hunter but for most of us RE2 it's a 10 hours game. It's like saying MGS GZ last over 50 hours! but it really it's a 2 hours demo.
