People wanted the Utawarerumono to come to the west

>people wanted the Utawarerumono to come to the west
>localization is done by NISA

Now that's some monkey paw shit right here. Well, at least the Vita version is also getting localized. Are you still looking forward to it, despite the people in charge of the translation?

Redpill me on how NISA localizations/translations are bad.

I don't think there's much for them to spice up given the story and its setting, so it could be not so bad.

They could always just melt your console.

No love for aruruu?

>NISA
what's the likelihood that they actually put underwater ray romano in the game?

Maybe if I get this it'll lead me to actually open and play the sequel games.

Maybe in the glossary.

Why did you buy them in the first place?

Collection hoarding and the prospect that I might play them "some day."

NISA is actually decent when they have the jap devs hovering over them or they care about the product (like Danganronpa). Hope it's one of these two

I'll still pick it up. Was planning on buying the vita version but I really want that physical edition.

Damn, I thought for sure there'd be a physical Vita version too. That certainly puts a damper on things.

NISA is full of sjws and people that suck at Japanese.

I'd be happier if the key chain was a tiny Eruruu or something.

Who translated the two new games?
I like the series so much that I actually bothered to do a side by side comparison (I looked at a youtube video of the English version while playing it in Japanese) and it was... okay. There were a couple of things I didn't like, but overall there were no mistranslations and they really tried to get the quirks and ways of speech of the characters through. They went a bit full retard with Maroro, though.

I think atlus hired a freelancer to do it.

Every once in a while they release a localization with an accidentally translated line of code that bricks your CPU and wipes your harddrive.

Is this the remake with the horribly cropped and color-shifted CGs and downgraded character portraits?

they still release vita games?

Why do remakes often miss the mark?

Didn't have much experience with NISA localizations, but I've noticed a lot of minor shit like typos or assigning subtitle to the wrong character in Danganronpa series. I guess this is also the case in other games they localized.

Sure is

But better yet they've also put game breaking and system crashing bugs into localizations because they are very competent.

First YU-NO, then Steins;Gate, now this. Why can't we get a decent VN remake?

Seeing how the IP counter doesn't go up I'd say you are the only person ITT that has a problem with the remake.

Wait what? Seriously?

I just hope it sells well enough
I want more underwater ray romano stuff to come to west, like the prequel game they are making and that other project they are hyping up.

>not having a problem with NISA
>wanting to play the neutered sfw version
I'd call this more of a remaster, but it still remains inferior to the original version.

I was happy to see Aruruu kept her deadpan autism in the sequel.

She's too cute, but seeing her all grown up made me feel sad. It's like watching your daughter becoming a big retard.

Sex doesn't automatically make things better.

you guys are all literal cucks for not learning japanese

Is the box on the right to hold all three game cases for PS4?

Ys VIII

Didn't Atlus publish the previous 2 games? Why is NISA doing the 3rd one?

No, I think it only holds all the CE items like the soundtrack, poster and so.

This series was really interesting until the retarded mech shit came out of nowhere. I was really digging furry japanese fire emblem

the translation of the game that led to NISA even being created in the first place wasn't even done by them but by atlus

Did they just rename the first name and made it a prequel?

No?

Hopefully they won't have to re-do all the game's dialogue on this one.

What's the point if everyone already knows that Touka is best girl?

I already played the first VN and tried fapping to the sex scenes.

But is there going to be slightly uncensored incestual loli ritualistic consensual rape?

Vita means life

I wish they ported the other two games to the PC. I don't want to get a Vita.

Play it on ps4?

No, but having unaltered content that further develops characterization does.
