With Dante's DT hands you can see them glow, differently from the Bringer but they still glow.

When a demon dies it is broken into fragments. Vergil shattered into several pieces, many of which became Bianco / Cavaliere Angelos later down the line. The cutscene where Credo dies in DMC4 may even imply that a fragment of Vergil was used to empower Credo during his ascension ceremony, since a little yellow orb flies off after he dies.

Demons are never truly dead, just broken. Banished, even.

The first 7 missions are easy, even on SoS. Second half of the game is pretty tough, though. My ranks took a big hit, and I had to try Missions 18 and 19 about ten times each.

Sin DT is the equivalent of a more slower Dark than you have to charge to go into for Quadruple S. Shit's fucking terrific and actually disgustingly overpowered.

Gilgamesh is a lot of fun. It's a unique fight for the series but it's built around Nero's abilities in a new and interesting way. If you want to do it faster then use Buster; one swipe of it damages his kneecap fully and when you get the Buster on him it's good damage.

Start the angelos fight with double kalina ann hueg laser, you'll do quite the damage and raise some good style, then immediatly to clean-up on DT to capitalize on that style
Don't do any of the optional fights

With gorbs and revives it doesn't seem like it would be too hard for the average person to beat DMD honestly. Its definitely 10x harder than SoS but the revive system just seems to break the games difficulty if you aren't going for S ranks.

It's terrible. Dante doesn't act like himself, art looks terrible (why does Dante look like a yaoi? Why is every room SO FUCKING BIG), it's poorly-animated, there's barely any fight scenes and what there are all suck.
It's a shame. I love the idea of something showing Dante's working life in between the big saving the world events of the games.

Because most of the forced encounters are too short and there's no boss. The empusas in the first encounter, first Chaos encounter, and Death Scissor encounters drag your average score down, and then you never get any help from the fake Urizen fight at the end.

2. Boss Rush & Challenge Modes; Drop into any boss fight whenever you want, and drop into one of a handful of individual enemy waves
3. Dante & Vergil in Hell DLC Missions (~6 of them); Cameo system used much more heavily, Vergil gets new Devil Arms from the bosses, Dante gets a new Devil Arm (possibly one of the same as Vergil's); Flashback to the end of 1 and the timeframe between then and Vergil taking the Devil Bringer; new bosses/enemies added to Bloody Palace and Challenge, Vergil added to Bloody Palace with his own route that has Dante as his final boss (as the final Mission of the DLC is another fight between them, but you get to choose who you play as)
4. Trish & Lady side story Missions (~3); less plot-important, mostly so they have levels designed for them; Trish plays like her 4SE self but gets Artemis (as she was using it against Urizen before getting trapped); Lady plays like her 4SE self but gets Double Kalina Ann shit; both of them and any new bosses added to Bloody Palace and Challenge

Only thing I'd want outside of that is maybe more EX Colors or another Music Pack or something (get some obscure shit in there like from the DMC4 Pachislot). Maybe MoCap session footage over cutscenes like the Pre-Viz stuff if possible.

Gilver was indeed killed. The clone of Dante was stated to go after Vergil, but we do not know how that ended, or if the Dante clone even got a chance to find Vergil, since Mundus later states in the new novel that DMC3 100% fresh Vergil could of killed him.

Those "segments" are deceiving, scoring isn't really calculated based on those progress they're literally just progression, like "in 1 you had that much style, in 2 you had that much style" and so on, the style points is one constant value through the entire mission and after you kill a boss the style that displays there is your final style number without applying any of the modifiers on the result screens, note that the "segments" don't show the boss one

Couldn't the clone of Dante be the reason Vergil was in the state he was when he stole Nero's arm?

It's alright, but feels more like a filler story than anything. Some great music, and a few really great emotional moments, such as pic related where Dante is challenged by two of Sparda's pupils.

I kept waiting for the game to say that Vergil had to use the Qliphoth to heal himself from some horrid condition but they never touched on it again. I'm two ways about this.
On one, character motivations should change, on the other Urizen walking around talks constantly about having the power he also wanted and that Dante could never understand the desire because of the things he loss. Which is actually terrific and it's a shame you have to wait all the way until DMD for the fight to even last that fucking long to hear it.

On the other hand it requires us to accept that the Vergil we see before the split is post DMC1 Vergil which is... quite a long time. This is the Vergil that got mind washed by Mundus for a very fucking long time and had basically regained his humanity by the time you got to Nelo Angelo 3 but still fight you to beat you in combat. So it's not far off to say that this time as Nelo Angelo that remained in him, the part that was cut into V, still held a strong desire to defeat Dante as opposed to Urizen's single minded pursuit of power.

The reason i'm two sided about this is not really explained outside of 3 missions really all too well.

I think the idea is that Vergil's split cast off his nightmares, and while some were willing to help V, some like Phantom weren't and had to be killed.

Giving Vergil a black coat with blue detailing was a stroke of genius. It really suits him and makes him distinct from both Dante and Nero. His costume in general is 10/10.

How far are you playing away from the enemy? V's pets have a fairly short-mid length leash that forces them back if they move too far from V. Aside from that fatto catto usually targets who I need him too. Hell they're actually pretty smart since if you're playing unlocked or unlock after putting an enemy into checkmate range they'll go target the next enemy immediately

Wonder if they'll just adapt the games or do something new for the canon.

So here are my problems with the game now that I'm halfway through DMD.

>Audio cues are absolutely fucking piss poor for a DMC game, when the corner stone of this genre (and this series) is distinct audio cues.
>Some boss visual cues for several attacks look too similar
>Urizen is one of the most unenjoyable bosses in the series, even on SoS he wears out his welcome incredibly quickly with AoE homing tentacle spam and his bloated HP pool thanks to the Crystal.
>The camera in this game is especially wonky compared to even DMC1 on occasion
>Furys and Judeccas are absolute cancer, any person who thinks constantly teleporting and "Lol I'm just invincible now" crap that breaks the flow of combat is good enemy design needs to be hit with a bat

Other minor things I dislike but not major
>story felt incredibly rushed
>Balrog switching should have been different, thanks to this game's camera system you can routinely get mode switches when you don't it
>Devil Sword Dante is one of the most uninspired piece of shit sword designs I've ever seen. It looks like something Ninja Theory would make.
>Overall boss quality is meh, Cavaliere and Vergil are great, the rest are incredibly forgettable

Reminder that when Vergil came to steal the Bringer, Nero at first thought he was a homeless man and immediately offered to let him sit with him, Nico, and Kyrie for Dinner and spend the night. Nero on several occasions showed Vergil kindness without the slightest idea that he was his father (even if Vergil didn't know he was his father either).

Nero did call Goliath a big guy.

The funniest part is that they did have their old costumes in the data files and concept art. But never used them

That series sucked some major ass though and didn't the guy behind it talk shit about Vergil? either way it's going to be worse than the DMC anime.

Not really. V goes through an extremely fucking subtle character arc which completes itself when Nero is helping him towards Urizen but had already shifted in motivations by the time you get to 13. Dante constantly blowing him off certainly didn't help rekindle that desire to beat the shit out of him.

I felt it was a thank you in general because Nero actually gave a genuine shit about him. So yes? I don't get your point.

V was genuinely remorseful for the whole Urizen thing but at the end of the day he still really just fucking wanted to kill Dante, so he saw the opportunity and took it

My guess? Dragon's Dogma 2's gonna be Itsuno's next game, and it'll be over a decade old by the time it releases.

Castlevania's netflix adaptation had a bunch of people, whether they were legit or not, complaining about the series being really anti-religion despite it being canon that the Belmont family was exiled by the church before the events of Dracula's Curse. They really hate the director and make other accusations about the adaptation not being true to the source material, all that shit.

I don’t play gachashit even though I have an immense thirst for a new SMT game. Hell, I even played P5, and I fucking hate Persona.

back when Castlevania anime series was up on Netflix, the CV threads were literally plagued by people that only watched them and CV fans had to argue with them about why the anime fucked up a lot in terms of lore and character, making it impossible to discuss the games for months

My point is Vergil was thanking Nero for helping him reform, not whatever dumb headcanon you made up.

His music is some of the best, funny enough.
