Not maining the Bruce Lee-inspired character in every game
But I do, since they seem to usually be the easiest to play and I don't like playing complicated characters.
my guy
Law in Tekken is the only Bruce Lee-character that actually does Lee justice
bruce lee sucked dick. why the fuck do people jerk him off so god damn much
literally mained fei long in sfv because of this, got pretty good with him too. those were good times.
this
Are his rekkas locked behind VT, time-traveler?
True or false: Bruce Lee could kick a schoolboy's backpack onto a roof not wearing any shoes.
the Jackie Chan ones are more fun
>this question
legit would want to see him try
based
he cute
Did way too much hash, kind of an arrogant dickhead. tried to exceed his own limits so much that he paid the ultimate price. Definitely had a good philosophy on certain aspects of martial arts though. He was smart in not delving too much into weightlifting and body building. I'm kind of over him now though. Everything is MMA now, and I just hate it. I miss when movies featured ninjutsu and karate, and didn't constantly try to pander to China.
t. martial artist for 10 years.
He has the lats of a god
Im thinking of getting into martial arts.
Currently there’s a shaolin master near where I live.
I do two hours stretches everyday, run at least 4 miles, do pushups and have some weighted clothes.
What else should I do?
I don’t want to body build so Im not using a gym.
user, bruce lee is awesome, his inspired characters in video games are just as awesome, but a lot of that kung fu shit is full of...well, shit.
>wanted to play with him in SF5
>is not there
Fuck that. I usually main the Bruce Lee of fighters, or the Roshi or some drunken fist
You need muscles bro, do some strength training LP
I make a big muscular black dude and I name him "Jasmine" in every game I play.
honestly this. Unless the guy is a master in bajiquan, I wouldn't bother. Kung fu is mostly bullshido, and it's more of a "performance" martial art than anything. I'm sure there's some decent ones in there, but kung fu is pretty much the TKD of China.
Damn right. Law family in da house.
King of Fighters confuses me. Kim Kaphwan makes Bruce Lee sounds, but looks and fights nothing like him.
You probably have a strong misconception of what you would look like with minimal strength training.
Well this is true but you can find plenty of teachers who appreciate the art for its cultural importance, aestheticism, and how it promotes fitness. You should probably stay away from kung fu that promotes itself as a self defense system, particularly a lethal one or one that works against weapons.
Don't need muscles at all. He might be weak but that does not stop him from doing kung fu which is more about coordination and flexibility, doesnt even require endurance really because its not competitive.
inb4 500 20's something MMA genetic dead end virgins comment how its either MMA or bust. if you try to double leg me on the street Ill let you do it and my buddy will come behind you and chop your head off with an axe
This is retarded, and hard to read. You don't need to do all this shit to get a good core or upper body strength. Planks, pushups, incline weighted sit ups are all good to focus on though.
This is why I never liked MMA. If you get on the ground in a street fight, you're already dead. MMA assumes all of your fights will be one on one duels.
>if you try to double leg me on the street Ill let you do it and my buddy will come behind you and chop your head off with an axe
is buddy with an axe more powerful than pipebomb?
Unless and until there's a televised, no-holds barred fight between a competent "Kung Fu" practitioner and an MMA fag, I won't believe this meme. Most mma fights have no throat punching, eye-gouging, chops or open-palm strikes that "Kung Fu" and other arts utilise.
>drunken fist
>Jackie Chan
Cringe & incelanimepilled
>Kim
>Uses kicks
>makes noises
not everyone who kiais is a bruce lee character user, Kim uses taekwondo
>I miss when movies featured ninjutsu and karate, and didn't constantly try to pander to China
There's always The Raid 1 and 2
lmao it's a progression chart, user. you only do one from each column at a time
You're right, however you no martial art facilitates an environment where these moves can be correctly practiced, as they would hurt the person being practiced on to severely. Attacking the eyes and throat are very technically simplistic techniques, and actually dont have the highest success rate just because people arent used to doing them for the aforementioned reasons. This is why mma fags will stomp kung fu old men 99% of the time, because they are more athletic and more comfortable in this violent setting they often immerse themselves in, while essentially having a superior arsenal of techniques and rote experience with them. I say this as a person who hates mma fags.
he knows, and that chart is dog shit. I wrote a very long series of posts very autistically analyzing how its complete trash on Yea Forums a long long time ago when it still had stuff like body weight general and wasnt 500 wrestling threads. You can look it up on the archive if you want,. Overcoming gravity is the most sensible routine, followed by gymnastic bodies if you are autistic and a faggot.
what exactly are you trying to imply
It's actually serious? I thought it was a joke chart. Instead of learning 50 different variants you may as well just go to the gym and do it properly.
sorry I main the jackie chan inspired character.
They are not variants but progressions. I agree the chart is shit but I now doubt you understand why its bad and are just saying general anti-bodyweight fitness bollywho
Beginners will find it confusing and experienced people will already do more effective exercises
I don't think anything is confusing about what is generally being done in those images but more advanced bodyweight exercises at least require some text in order to explain correct form for example you are not doing a planche unless you have full protraction and depression of the shoulder blades, ankle extension, and posterior pelvic tilt. The main issues is what you said after, that there are more effective exercises, both standard gym stuff and bodyweight exericses. The progressions themselves do not make any sense and either increase the difficulty by very little, nothing, or a negative amount, or way too much. Bodyweight exercises require way more progressions in order for someone to achieve a certain skill than in weightlifting since you can't just plop a plate on your back most of the time. An example of the chart's terrible form is on the leg raises, no active pike compression is achieved at all as his back is not braced and his torso just tilts back when he riases his legs. An example of a simply bad exercise is the one arm push up. He has his legs spread as wide as possible and essentially puts his arm in the middle making the movement far far easier, this is often how retards perform the one arm push up due to its attractive nature as an ego lift but as a strength increaser it is trash, and aesthetically it is a trash skill. An example of a progression that doesnt make sense is going from tuck rows to a front lever on ring rows, without any kind of progression for a static front lever first.
>tried to exceed his own limits so much that he paid the ultimate price.
But what killed him was an allergic reaction, not overtraining
