Why are you surprised?
Microsoft left the console market at around early 2015, or whenever it was they had a small restructure.
Xbox is literally nothing more than a 100% multiplat redundant SteamMachine under a different name and OS. So yes, phones, TVs, etc are a logical next step, no surprises here.

Microsoft weren't competent enough and got crusher by Sony's 1st parties and way better 3rd party relashionships. They also never built the same timeless IPs like Nintendo did. Rather the contrary, it's sad that they STILL try to push Forza, Halo, Gears over and over again. Anyway none of it matters since they aren't platform holders anymore (technically they are, but just as much as Steam was, or any company that releases consumer hardware that plays an app)

How much time you typed this loads of bullshits?

More than you did formulating that sentence, that's for sure.

>Microsoft left the console market a

Microsoft would even release their service on Playstation if Sony would allow it.

Like I said, a 100% redundant SteamMachine-like device. Everything it has you can get on PC, and soon enough Android phones, smart TV's, etc

If your definition of a Platform Holder is "Some corporation that released hardware which can play games" then there are dozens upon dozens of Platform Holders in this "race", yet we all know there are only 3 (well, 2 right now IMO, and definitely & factually 2 starting next gen). Amazon is a platform holder because Alexa plays games under your shit definition.

I think he's right What he didn't say it's why they are doing it. I think they want to invest a lot in a service like PS now. That s why you can have an account everywhere. Yeah i read the article, and it didn't say nothing about it, but there isn't one feature worth the effort to be sure that everything work together

How is that "left the console market"?

they would never allow gamepass on PSN, it directly competes not only with PS Now, but PSN itself
it is an alternative storefront that eats into sales of other storefronts
but they would absolutely allow the games be released on the platform like any other third party publisher, xbox live would be treated the same as uplay or epic accounts
but microsoft clearly wants to push gamepass more than anything now, even gold accounts aren't enough for them

Why did you post effectively the same thing twice but expect a different answer the second time?

So instead of MS spending millions to produce exclusives for their box they are going to produce games as part of a premium service that can be used on any system? Sounds pretty smart

that pic doesn't really work when PS+ and PS Now are making more than Xbox Live and Gamepass

They aren't tho

Microsoft is abandoning ship precisely because they ain't making as much as Sony. Sony's maintaining course precisely because they are easily on top.

Your pic makes no sense.

Just game pass, and is that source reliable is a big question.

Well written post.

nice fanfiction

We knew this

don't be retarded
the numbers aren't even close

on streaming services, PS Now vs Game Pass
>A new report from Superdata has determined that subscription services for video games have taken in about $273 million in the third quarter of 2018. Standing above them all is Sony’s PlayStation Now service, which took $143 million. That is 52% of the market revenue
>EA’s services made a combined $90 million, while Game Pass took in around $41 million.

there is absolutely nothing pointing to Xbox Live or Game Pass being more profitable than Playstation's counterpart

So you posted general earnings reports that provide bo relevant info and an unsourced article from a playstation website? Really coming in hot with those hard hitting facts huh?

>Devkit
hmnnn

>1TB of flash

they don't have the money for this

keep living in absolute denial

Huh?

>THIS TIME they'll be really strong hardware I SWEAR PLEASE DON'T LOOK AT THE PAST

c'mon now, we all know how it'll end up, they're static hardware and tech moves too fast, EVEN IF they released with high end hardware, and they won't, they'd still be outdated in like a year

Xbox made over 10 billion from gaming alone in 2018

Sony is down 14% year over year for gaming

Maybe actually look at the their earnings reports next time lmfao

OH NO NO NO

Yeah, right.

>windows 10 existing means the Xbox division hasn't actually never been profitable for Microsoft ever

>be MS
>reveal a new futuristic console focused on the digital future and online services
>neckbeards laugh at it
>becomes year 2019
>half of all games are purchased digitally and streaming online services are the main way to consume media
>tfw you dropped all of your forward thinking software to appease neckbeards that didn't buy your system anyway

>half of all games are purchased digitally and streaming online services are the main way to consume media
and half aren't purchased digitally
streaming is only 6% of the total gaming revenue in 2018
Xbox would have an even smaller marketshare if they went with it's original plan

Game Pass and PS Now don't even require dedicated hardware
console are for a very specific market, you can do both physical and digital/streaming without neglecting any of the markets
Playstation has dominance in both hardware sales, and streaming subscription
and never required the bull shit microsoft was trying to push
